World of Outlaws 2020

Mark Dobmeier took a nasty spill in Heat 3 while battling for the transfer spot with Shane Stewart. They cut away from the shot of the car, and Stewart came over to try to assist as they put Dobmeier onto a stretcher. Hopefully he will be okay.

Update on this: he's had back surgery to address multiple fractures. He has been able to stand and walk, with high pain levels. He's done for the year at least, but it's apparently not of the severity of Kevin Swindell's injuries and so on.

Big break for the field tonight as Sweet breaks while running third in the feature, and will be a DNF.

Schuchart wins tonight at Terre Haute, Donny Schatz finishes second after starting 23rd (!). A lot of cautions in this one gave him the restarts needed to do that. Sweet had more misfortune and finished 22nd.

nice track, fast and well prepared

Schuchart is getting his early groove back again as well, and I hope he'll be a factor in the championship fight.

Larson is starting on the pole for the Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park, with Schatz alongside. About to go green, hope it's a good one.

Sweets had all kinds of trouble the last few races uncharacteristic for KKR

As I typed that he gets upside down in the feature

Track isn't playing nice tonight lot of cars getting in trouble

Larson wins. Schatz got alongside him once and made it interesting for a moment. Jac and Sheldon Haudencshild battled for most of the race for third, with Sheldon holding on.

Sweet with another DNF after a late flat. Terrible string of fortune will make the points race interesting again.

Larson passing in the parking lot, Sweet stalling and flip flopping on the straight and Schatz gaining in the points. Pretty wild race

They put on a dandy of a show tonight at Lernervulle once the feature got moving after several early cautions. Schatz rocketed from 6th to the lead in the first 10 laps, then Sweet chased him down and took the lead. Schatz takes it back, Sweet takes it back again, and Larson is closing on them late. Any of the three could have won. Schatz wins, Larson second, Sweet third.

I saw the last 10 laps in a clip the series posted on Facebook after the race was over. What a great race that was.

Good race tonight with Sheldon Haudencshild getting his first win of the season, after battling with Jacob Allen early. Schuchart finishes second, and Allen gets third.

Schatz finishes one spot ahead of Sweet in 7th.

Where was Larson tonight?

Where was Larson tonight?

Hmm, I don't know. I know he said he was only racing the first Outlaws show of the week, and not tonight or tomorrow. Maybe he is finally taking a breather, but I'm sure he'll be somewhere this weekend.

maybe he had to go home and drop off all those trophies,no telling where he will show up next.

Sheldon in Stenhouse's car puts it in the winners circle.

I believe he is taking off until the 2nd

Would like to have seen him run the WOO with the PA Posse. Was thinking about driving down to the Grove tonight.

I know Kyle. (and Tony, and Kasey) will be at Husets for the 2nd. Id guess he will start back up in Plymouth, Wisconsin with ASCOC for the Rayce Rudeen with it being 26K to win on the 30th . Then 34 Raceway (5K), then Knoxville (5K) , then Husets for 20K to win. Paul went home to see his daughter during this break.

Schatz looked to be in the catbird seat, starting tonight's feature on the pole. Then he broke two laps in, and now will take a considerable points hit unless Sweet and company have problems too.

David Gravel wins by a mile tonight, and seems to be building momentum after a slow start to his season. The Grove was tacky due to rain earlier in the day and fast, but not super racey up front, as the cushion was 20+ feet off the wall and the only place to be fast. There was a lot of movement and hard chargers further back.
