Super Bowl LV

I'll say it again. This achievement for Brady is the equivalent of Jordan leaving the Bulls and taking the Wizards to a championship, instead of just fizzling out. It's legendary and unparalleled.

Bucs were set up well for success though while those Wizards were a top of the lottery team. They had the solid defense and the offensive weapons, even before he brought in AB and Gronk. Having. The GOAT instead of a guy who’s guaranteed to turn the ball over two or three times every game makes a world of difference.

Definitely legendary and unparalleled though.

True. And Jordan was doing it in the wrong era. In the modern NBA, he'd just line up two other superstars and force his new team to trade for them.

Brady went to his new team with a minimum of fuss and aside from bringing Gronk along, just became a part of the crew. Impressive stuff. I've overcome all of my disdain for him. He's undeniable.

I stayed my ass at home for that reason.
Couple of my friends live across Amalie on Harbor Island and were at some bars in Ybor a few nights ago. We went to school in Tampa and I worked there for a few years before moving to Melbourne now. I’d love to be there - same goes for the Stanley Cup and World Series - but I’m not about all that. Sucks but it is what it is.

Titletown!

Cat Stevens once had a song called “Kansas City Nightmare”, seems appropriate for tonight.

This is just the norm. Last year and 2015 for the Royals is what felt weird. Ours is a city that didn't make the Super Bowl for 50 years, lost playoff game after playoff game, won a World Series in 1985 only because of an obviously blown call in Game 6, and so on.

Indeed.

I don't like my team becoming the one everyone is tired of and rooting against anyway. I'd like to think they will be back. Can't see Mahomes letting this undermine his confidence for long.
I don't think you have to worry about Mahomes. As long as he doesn't get a serious injury he will be winning football games for a long time.
