World of Outlaws 2021

cant wait. big money tonite, 150,000 to win.1000 a lap for leading. 10,000 just to start the main plus alot more

Very late start tonight because of afternoon rains. The heat races are coming up shortly.

The track is still really heavy and narrow, so the invert in the heat races is killing a lot of the faster cars. Kahne was quick time in qualifying, but didn't advance out of his heat.

Multiple wrecks before tonight's main event can get going. Macedo causes a huge one that takes out at least five cars, and then calls it "one of the dumbest moves of my career" when interviewed.

Brian Brown wins a wild race that sees Larson come from the B to finish second.

1. Brian Brown
2. Kyle Larson
3. Brent Marks
4. Brad Sweet
5. Rico Abreu
6. Kasey Kahne

Will be interesting to watch the points. The top 16 in points across both nights lock into the Saturday feature.

Friday functions as a second chance night for all who didn't qualify for Saturday's main event on Wednesday or Thursday. Good clean feature race tonight with only one caution. The top four who lock in to the spots 16-20 tomorrow night are:

1. Rico Abreu
2. Anthony Macri
3. Shane Stewart
4. Brock Zearfoss

Holy ****, the finish for the final transfer spot in the B was one of the wildest I've ever seen. Four cars with a blanket over them for spots 2-5. Sheldon barely, barely makes it over Spencer Bayston.

Man I like that Haudenschild kid!
Awesome finish.

Scelzi led early, then Schatz, then Larson. Schatz was passing Larson again when the caution flew, but it won't count. Not sure if he'll get another shot. Torrid pace, less conservation than I've seen in the past in the 50 lapper. Macedo is really fast, coming from 17th to 8th, but may need help with cautions to be a factor.

Larson wins his first Knoxville Nationals. He looked to be running away with it and had an over 3 second lead with 10 to go, but Schatz began running him down and almost got to him on the final lap.

1. Kyle Larson
2. Donny Schatz
3. Brad Sweet
4. Gio Scelzi
5. Logan Schuchart

Gravel blew up while running third.

wow.that kid is going to be pretty good, i love that he was thinking about this race during the nascar practice,

Larson making them look silly. For pros to get beat by an outsider is something else.

We can say the same thing about the late model guys, midget veterans at the Chili Bowl, and so on. He's making the Cup field look silly most weeks. The reason he's a generational talent is because this kind of versatility is unprecedented since the days of Andretti and Foyt. Tony Stewart, for all of his talent, could never have come close to doing this while racing NASCAR, and has said as much.

...and to think we get to see this all happening. I normally don't pull for the guys who always win, but this Larson dude is just different.

Was really glad to see Kasey Kahne not just show speed, but close out the weekend with a solid eighth place finish. Finishing eighth in the Knoxville Nationals is not a small accomplishment. I doubt Reutzel would have fared better in the #83. He has come a long way since he strapped back in a year and a half ago. I honestly thought he was making a mistake to do so.

Donny Schatz follows up his runner-up finish at Knoxville with his second WoO victory of the season at his hometown track in Fargo, ND. Good track surface with multiple racing lines.

1. Donny Schatz
2. David Gravel
3. James McFadden
4. Logan Schuchart
5. Sheldon Haudenschild
