Kyle Larson Appreciation Thread

He was tearing up in victory lane.
I think it's pretty telling that his dirt wins mean more to him than his cup wins.

NASCAR is his day job. Nothing more.

Doesn't make a tinkerer's damn to me what "job" it is, he wins in everything he drives and there isn't any driver in the world at present that I know of that can do that. Mario, A.J. and Gurney back in the 60's and 70's was the last time that I know of. That bunch are truly the greatest and that is where Larson is headed.

SHH- don't get Revman all reved up over that BS again. He just calmed down from a few years ago. :)

Come on man, winning the Knoxville Nationals, is like winning the Daytona 500 to dirt guys. He has worked hard to get that opportunity and he made the best of it.
He races 410 Winged Sprints on dirt part time and kicked all the full time WOO's asses, well done I say.

Tony Stewart, as well. He belongs in that group. Superior to Larson, imo.

My point is that Larson's clear passion is dirt.

All I am saying is that he seems more passionate about dirt than his cup career. Doesn't matter to me.

It’s absurd how good he is at racing
It is beyond me to understand how he can win consistently in any type of race car he is driving. As far as I know the different type of cars are all owned and wrenched by someone different. It takes years for almost anyone to gain enough experience to win at this level. What's next the Baja 1000 and Stadium Trucks? Heck, he would probably win a demo derby too.

I think Penske wants him to run the 500 really badly and no telling what kind of deal he would come up with to try to get Larson in the race. He sells tickets.

That BC39 race was a really good one. Check it out of you haven't already.

Factoid: Larson became the first driver to win a feature with both WoO Late Model and WoO Sprint Cars, when he won the crown jewel Prairie Dirt Classic earlier this month. Only 14 drivers have ever actually raced in both series, the list includes some dirt legends, like Tony Stewart, Dave Blaney, and Donny Schatz.

I must admit surprise to hear that it hasn't been done before. Very cool!

Larson is learning the Nascar shuffle. He worked with his teammates to stay pushed out ahead of the pack and he didn't make his usual win or bust finish and played the odds and stayed out front in the points lead.

His post race interviews are so detailed too. I love it. He laid out his entire thought process.

Definitely is separating his dirt habits from his NASCAR habits.

Nobody has ever won in those divisions plus the Super Dirtcar Big Block Modifieds. Hope to see Larson in one soon.

He's so candid and open. He also reminds me somewhat of a scientist explaining a theory or process.

I've said this before, but he reminds me of Jimmie Johnson..they both run cookie cutter courses very similarly. Both very thoughtful about the decisions they make, and are usually loaded with information.

As someone deeply curious about the way people think, I thoroughly enjoy listening to his post race interviews.

I’ve decided to change my avatar for the rest of the season to Larson’s 5. It’s been fun to watch him race this year, and I hope he wins the championship. Since JG retired, I’ve divided my fandom up into Elliott, Larson, William Byron, Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Austin Dillon and Tyler Reddick. Not slumming it by any means for fandom... but watching Larson this year has filled that void that’s been there since Jeff retired, it’s cool to see him run this well considering the curiosity I had as to how he’d run in a better car than Ganassi.

👍

Me too. Especially when it pertains to driving race cars.
