Bubba in the 45

Playoff knowledge. Bubba wasn't good enough to get into the playoffs. He doesn't even know what he is racing for except it is for the owners championship..whatever that is. Neither does anybody here except it's about owners making money.
You really have no idea what the owners championship is??? Even tho it’s been around for a while now?

No reach is a reach too far.

When a driver is eliminated, so is his car number.
Again as I pointed out(and you for some reason overlooked) not necessarily.

Say the driver who finished 13th and is eliminated finished behind Blaney in 12th place. Since the 12 car isn’t in the Owners Playoffs, the one who finished 13th, his car very likely would advance to the next round(again as I said depending on what Bubba does).

But the fact they are only 15 drivers and number in both, with the 16th being a different one in both, it’s possible for a driver to be out but not their number. Not saying it will happen, but it’s possible.

Slow news day? I mean its a number swap for business purposes.Who cares about the owners "championship"? The owners. At the end of the year they have a big party and give the winner a Big Trophy, do a lot of back slapping and then they go count the money.
Thanks. With that one, I shouldn't need to look at this thread again.

I agree.

The #45 will stay in the Owner’s Championship until it is either eliminated or wins said championship.

Dude complains about young people not knowing ****, and then goes on to be unaware of an entire championship that has been awarded for years.

I'm not sure what the very first year was for owners points in Cup, but here's a standings article from 1994 where RCR was leading over Yates: https://us.motorsport.com/nascar-cup/news/manufacturer-owner-standings-after-rockingham/1654104/

No, Ryan Blaney will stay in the Driver's Championship until he wins or is eliminated. See the difference? ;)
Well none of this is exactly what I’m saying. I’m saying for example

Austin Dillon could be eliminated from the playoffs but the 3 could still be in it. Because if Ryan is the reason Dillon doesn’t advance, then the fact the 12 car isn’t there means it can’t stop the 3 car from advancing.

Thank you.

Bubba is not in the playoffs and can’t be eliminated.

His car number and it’s place in the Owner’s Championship can, and likely will be eliminated.
Bubba was eliminated last Sunday.
The 45 was not.
Bubba drives the 45.

What about the 12 car numbers that are still there?

The presence of the #45 on the list kills your logic.

Bubba was not eliminated from the playoffs.

He didn’t make the playoffs which as you know, begin on Sunday.

No it doesn’t kill my logic, it’s why it’s possible lol??? What are you even talking about lmao

If 4 car numbers are eliminated, and one of those is the 45, that means one of the drivers eliminated has to have their car number still in it.

The round of 16 will eliminate 4 drivers and 4 car numbers from their respective championships.

No.

Driver and car number are eliminated together.
^ see “together”

When asked if Cindric could be eliminated but the 2 car stay in. You said it’s not possible. But it is. I laid out exactly how it’s possible, and you’re completely over looking it.

Having thought it over, I concede. You are correct.

My theory needs Blaney driving the 45. 🤪

I still feel like you have no idea what I’m saying lol.

But you realize a driver could be eliminated and his car not be, right? Because that’s all I’m saying. You seem to think I’m saying something totally different.

Let me know your position so I can plan my counter argument
The success of the racetrack and future Airbnb condo developments depend entirely upon having Dell Strongheart Joonyer racing there every Saturday night for the next 20 years.

Fixed it, Aunty... 20 years of weekly first-ever revivals with The Joonyer in the 3 car... a promoter's dream job.

I've been waiting for this to happen since the playoff format was made and "win you're in". Didn't even have to be an injury deal, could've been a road course ringer brought in for a week and won. It was inevitable one day the 16th driver and car would be different. It's just going to be a royal pain for the NASCAR points statistician to keep them separate.

Hands down this beat the lug nut for the who gives a **** title.
Tough call because the lug nut thread was truly special. Had all the usual suspects and all of them were firing on all cylinders. That thread made me care about the lugnuts and this one doesn't have that impact so I think you're right.

This thread gets honorable mention compared to push rods. Nothing gets the crowd riled like push rod length.

Funny thing is...........
This thread has stayed pretty much on topic while other threads constantly get hijacked.
Read and learn.

I can honestly say I have never seen anyone wearing a Bubba T-shirt at the couple races I have been to since he moved to 23XI.

I personally love the 23 McDonalds sponsorship with Bubba, and I know a friend also bought a cool 23XI hat. There is plenty of fans of Bubba that are willing to be unbiased.

Hmmm, would your response have been the same if I said Jeremy Clements? I was simply providing an actual observation regarding t-shirts.

FWIW, I would guess I started following Bubba, long before you. He and Blaney have been good friends for many years and I really enjoyed their teenage antics.

Starting to look like 23XI made a great move. I don't think he can accumulate enough points for the owner title, but with the win today they may well finish in the top half of the playoff field, which I'm sure is good for the team financially. I would be curious to see how Bubba's points stack up against the field since he blew up at Bootie on the radio. I'll bet it would shock some people.
