Ken Schrader

The former Cup Series regular has been in strong form since returning from Arizona, scoring three consecutive top-finishes in modified competition this week. Schrader finished second in the A-main at Screven Motor Speedway’s Winter Freeze in Sylvania, Ga. on Friday night, then scored a top-five finish in the second modified feature at Volusia on Monday night.

The missing piece? Saturday night, Schrader returned to victory lane with a $2,000 win at Screven. The race was vintage Schrader, with the wily veteran finding out an entry/exit line through turn 4 that none of his competitors could neutralize in trying to overtake him for the win.

David Stremme

The former Cup Series regular (who now owns Lethal Chassis) led all 20 laps of the sixth and final modified feature at Volusia on Monday, winning from the pole.

I've been wanting a thread like this for things outside of sprints and late models just couldn't think of a name.

Yeah, I remembered you talking about the names of different classes meaning something different depending on which part of the country. Yesterday trying to find a place to put Haley in one of our categories and there really wasn't one. I hope this solves the problem for us.

Yeah, he had to get on the wheel for it.

I can see Travis doing this a LOT more in the future. I honestly cannot believe he hasn't done more dirt racing on ovals.
All the wild things he does screams get in a sprint car to me.

Watched the racing at Delaware International tonight on flo. Matt Shepherd beat Mike Gular with a last lap pass in the modifieds. Wild Delmarva super trucks race. At one point the leader spun got t boned by second and rolled over with the guy in second ramping over. On the restart they figured out you can't run down the front stretch 5 wide as a truck barrel rolled into turn 1. In the end the guy who ramped over the guy in the first flip came back up through the field and won with a last lap pass.

Larson is racing a dirt modified tonight in addition to the late model. Car is owned by Justin Allgaiers dad. Too bad it's not a big block.

Larson of course won in the modified. Maybe he should come try a real one in the Northeast

This kid is someone to watch only 13/14 years old I believe he won at Wilkesboro last year in a mod. Started racing pavement 4 cylinders at 9.

If she's remotely competitive in Trans Am (which TBH she probably should be, it's basically a pro-am series with a lot more "am" than "pro") getting her in the direction of Indycar is something everyone involved in Indycar should be motivated to do. Only question is if Penske's team is aware and I'd hope they are.

I'm off to a new track today Five Mile Point Speedway in New York for some dirt mods. Track was supposed to close at the end of last year but the sale has been delayed until this fall so they added a few races this year. So taking advantage of a 4 pm start to make the almost 4 hour drive to make it my 37th lifetime race track.

Want to see the most obvious dangerous thing I've ever seen at a race track? Say hello to the turn 1 "wall" at Five Mile Point

To call the track "rustic" would be nice...very obvious why it is going away.

Poor man's safer barrier lol?
The guy who I sat next to said this place used to not be a dump lol. The Outlaws even ran there in the 80s. They were blocks similar to one of those short tracks ARCA has run at. Today though the place was just pure dust. As you can see from this car behind the stands

A new low in driver behavior. My friend is on the EMT at Bridgeport Speedway. Tonight they had a street stock flip. It was a bigger guy so he was stuck in there. While they were trying to get him out the other involved driver was pushing the safety crew out of the way trying to fight...the guy strapped in upside down.
