Kyle Busch to RCR

BS. JGR cut him, and this place wouldn't shut up.....and oh by the way.....Toyota didn't let him go....JGR did.
What? I think you misread my post. I didn't mention anything about anyone cutting anybody. The conversation was about Kyle's poor attitude and I blamed part of that on Toyota for allowing him to get away with it for so many years.

And he lives in the Kyle Busch thread, trying to re write history according to Rev.
It would be fun to collect your posts from the Kyle Busch Appreciation thread over the years.

And he will. Rev is the most shameless poster on this board. He's irrationally loyal to Toyota...it's always fun and never truly personal. Love that man.

Well said. Thank you. Appreciate you brother.

Won't be any more dramatic than @StandOnIt twist to President of Rowdy Nation.
Funny how that happens. What hypocrites we are. I try not to be. I hated Ernie when he drove the 4. And was NOT happy he replaced Davey. But that hatred waned as he won. He just seemed to be a different guy in the 28. Same aggression but mature. My hate for Ernie before was the dumbassness on the track.

So I include myself in that hypocrite group.

I hear ya, but I don't see myself as a hypocrite. I had been asked repeatedly if I would maintain my Rowdy Fandom if he left Toyota. My answer has always been a consistent hard "No!" Always....and it is not weird for me to root against him now. He is just another non-Toyota that I don't want to win now....

I'll give Revman that, he definitely is not a hypocrite. His philosophy is and has always been if they ain't in a Toyota then F em.

Ernie in the #28 was definitely more mature than he was in #4.
I think most everyone that followed racing during those years has to wonder just how many championships Davey could have won. I think the question is applicable for Ernie as well, I believe it would have happened for both if they would have had full careers in the 28 car.

There is just no way to do it justice when speaking about the tragedies and losses. Bobby deserved so much better than losing his two sons nothing could be worse.

It had to be almost almost impossibile as well for anyone to overcome the losses that Robert Yates experienced as well. It amazing that he still won it all later on with Dale Jarrett, but I still believe they were never faster or better than they were with Davey and Ernie.

Hamlin gave Busch very high praise in his podcast post race. He also mentioned RCR might have the best engines in the sport.

Nice to see RCR finally have a real contender driving their car again since the demise of Earnhardt.

I had noticed Kyle's performance fell off when there was no practice over the last couple years. But that changed with his win. Like his brother, he can run well with a change in teams.

Don't know, but there was a point where there was an arial shot of Busch and Chastain and it looked like KB was making more power. But I thought it was just because of better grip and a better drive off.

On his podcast Denny claims that JGR would have went out of business had they of given Kyle the money he wanted

Kyle was getting pulled off of 2 and down the backstretch by Chastain for most of the race. He was communicating with the team what he needed from the car and it seems they made the right adjustments.

Does trackhouse run RCR or HMS engines?

Yeah that is what Dillion was saying when they interviewed him ECR. He had a S..t eating grin on his face the whole time lol. News to me, I had thought Hendrick and Childress joined their engine program together...guess not.
They each have their own valve cover logos ...

I made the mistake of just reading the headline and not the whole article when I read that.. They both continue to have their own shops and customers I see. I have a hard time believing that if one or the other found something, they would run over to the other and show them. I could be wrong, but these two are not joined, they are in competition with each other it looks like to me and young Dillion was selling the ECR way when he was interviewed lol.

“While our two championship-winning organizations will collaborate on research and development, our respective engine shop operations will continue to function independently as they currently do'

It’s odd not to see an 18 car in the cup field but it’s clear that Ty isn’t quite yet ready ready to fit in that large vacated seat.
Maybe they could get him a phone book to sit on 🤔

Ernie was Jeff's only competition that year if I recall correctly? I agree, RYR was bad fast and amazing they recovered like they did losing 2 incredible talents when they were on the verge of greatness with both. Really just picked up where they left off when Ernie came.

The injury occurred prior to the August 1994 Michigan race.
Going into the weekend Irvan trailed Earnhardt by only 27 points which was almost nothing based on the 185 maximum points that could be earned in race at that time.

Earnhardt went on to easily win his 7th and final championship and it wasn't even close after Irvan's injuries and it was clinched well before the season finale.

Gordon's did not win his first of four championships until 1995.

Note: I had to confirm with racing reference to be sure myself.

thats an interesting stat there. It also makes me wonder...... does Kyle have a shot to catch Bobby Allison/DW in Cup wins? I know these parts like to characterize 38 as old, but what if Kyle hits a new groove for an extended amount of time with RCR? Hes 23 behind to catch them and 24 to pass. If he were to do this, he'd be top 5 in Cup wins, which makes it an interesting convo as Best of His Generation.
