2024 Rolex 24 at DAYTONA

BMW has had a quiet weekend, but they have been near the front consistently. They had good reliability toward the end of last year, and if you couple that with such consistency, they could be the team to watch.

Porsche labeled BMW an interesting dark horse.

Cadillac think Porsche have more to show, Porsche think Acura will be good on tire wear and Cadillac think Acura will be good on fuel efficiency. Acura think they’re not good on tires and Cadillac think they’re not as quick on the straights.

No one wants to be favorite. Fascinating gamesmanship.

The GTD classes are also wide open I feel.

More problems, now three laps behind the rest of GTD, and behind the wall again. Not a good transition for the name plate to a non-factory status.
One of the pseudo-factory cars also had to change an engine out due to electrical issues twice this week. May or may not be related.

When I first started following this race, the GT glass was almost all Porsche; they sold cars that could be raced by the independents (I admired Porsche for that). These days the GT classes have become more diverse and interesting.
My favorite class.

GT3 regulations over the past 15 or so years have arguably been the biggest game-changer in sports cars. It’s incredible how many different series globally you can run the same car in now and how many manufacturers have invested in the category as a result.

The GTD Lexus was lucky not to get collected in that accident

Durani is a savage. Bourdais is keeping him honest though.

Don't have Peacock and the USA coverage is pre-empted by a basketball game, running late, so I'm counting on you guys to keep me up to speed.
Can't seem to PM you with your limited access.

SeaBass to the lead entering the first horseshoe. #2-Pino in LMP2, #19-Caldarelli in Pro, #12-Telitz in GTD all with at least 1.5 second leads.

Spencer's Law of Basketball Relativity - Basketball clock time elapses inversely to other clocks' time, such that as the basketball clock approaches zero, other clocks approaches infinity.

25+ minutes to play less than 5 minutes on the game clock. When they tell me I have only a week to live, I'm going to spend all of it at basketball games.

I have not made any changes. If it was about USA the race just came back on.
Yeah, here is what I ran into. Good you have coverage now, hate to see the rabids go without coverage lol.

No words to describe what happened there.
I don’t usually like to hate and it was incidental, but that team seems to have a lot of those types of incidents on track. That particular driver is a common denominator too.
