Sophia never really jumped off the page, but these ladies are solid drivers.

Would be wonderful for them to find footholds in IndyCar.
 
With her past experiences, etc, I think she would be more comfortable and a better fit in the big IRL series in a Penske or Gannasi car (immediately).

All of the nonsense about her working her way up through those sophmoric support races do not apply. Why are they holding her back.

Finished 14th. 17 cars running but everyone behind her were laps down due to problems. Was running 64 seconds back of the lead, 38 behind the car in front of her when it brought out the final caution. Delta rate increased over time, may need to work on tire management.

Good job scrubbing rubber into the groove for the big boys.

Completely forgot it's available on FS1. Tuned in now. For the ones that say "she's rookie/what do you expect"...who running 1-2?

Do have to say again, I expect more from Floersch. She has several seasons in similar cars. But guess avoid trouble in the first few to get those around her more comfortable?
 
What I noticed most was the increasing rate at which she lost ground. The only thing I can attribute that to was tire wear. Surely they told her the set she started on was all she would get. I expect someone with her overall experience to have a rudimentary knowledge of tire management.

She brought the car back in one piece on the lead lap (barely). I don't see much cause for celebration beyond that bare minimum.
 
I like that she’s being realistic. I hope she’s spending a lot of her free time in a sim.

Hailie Deegan finally makes ground in Indy NXT with improved pace at Nashville test

Hailie Deegan was one of 19 drivers who took part in Indy NXT's open testing at the Nashville Superspeedway on April 2. It was her first time on an oval in an Indy NXT car.

What do you expect? What difference would be satisfactory? If she went to a Woo race would you expect her to qualify in top five and finish top three? She's doing exactly what I expected. This will be one and done. She just doesn't have it for race car driving. If Sophia Floersch couldn't do better than she did, this must not be easy. And I hate the Deegans. Sooner they all gone the better IMO.

Have an opinion where she ends up but would get deleted.

Wow. Who peed in your Wheaties?
 
Well I guess it was wishful thinking that she could
mid pack it in the NXT series her first year. It seems
the game plan is to get in the laps in the back and move up
in the race results passing the dropouts. It's boring,
but it makes sense. Still glad she is out there. I really
miss seeing what Sophia could have done.
