Being reported that it's the first DNQ for a not Daytona 500 since 2018 Texas playoffs.

Now retired playoff drivers (round of 8) from that day-

Kevin Harvick (won the race)
Kurt Busch
Aric Almirola (in a SHR car)
Martin Truex Jr. (still with Furniture Row...wow)
Clint Bowyer

Trevor Bayne finished 21st- his final Cup race. That was the year he finally got booted from Roush halfway through the season but stayed on running part-time for whatever reason.

Having been to Chicago once before, I’d imagine the parking situation is a mess, perhaps even expensive. I’m not sure my anxiety could handle going to a street race in a major city.

I'll be taking the Metra Electric train from the south suburbs.

The exit from the underground downtown station comes up at Michigan and Randolph, a half mile walk from the race entrance at Congress and Monroe.

Well at least in Chicago you can drink the water.
At least in the north, Southside water gives you lead poisoning.

Although the White Sox spell it as one word . . .

Those native to the South Side disagree.

Maybe it has something to do with the lead in the drinking water.
