THE CLASH

That depends on one's personal definition of better.

To me, that means having all 36+ cars on the track at the same time, running a distance or time long enough to require refueling and tire changes. There are plenty of tracks that fit those criteria, although many won't appeal to that segment of the fan base that wants to run on 'legacy' tracks.

I think running Cup cars on a track this small doesn't show the best capabilities of cars, drivers, or teams. Like LA, it's a venue chosen more to tear up cars than as an exhibition of what they can do.

Just one opinion. Others will vary. No big deal.
Do it "drag & drive" style 100 laps @ Bowman Grey, Greenville Pickens, Hickory, Wilkesboro with finish at Bristol. Teams unload cars at BG "race" then head toward Bristol. The cars get DRIVEN to next track. Each car gets one chase vehicle with spares. If has to be towed/trailered, DNQ.

Let's make it exciting! Have 1/2 dozen Dakar type choppers following along.

Limited resources and the entire state will be affected. Hospitals and hardest hit areas will be prioritized. There's more on the line statewide than a single county's race.
They've brought in bunch of Yankees from Minnesota or somewhere up in the war zone with all their equipment. They'll have the snow cleaned up inside two hours.

It began Yankee Raining in the Triad about 10-11pm. It began here about an hour ago.

Forecasters now revising their forecast totals up because the Yankee Rain began 6-12 hours ahead of schedule. And no, that doesn't mean, ATM, it stops sooner. There are bursts coming in from the south and from the Atlantic Ocean.

PS this is some, in memory of the late, great, Isiah Whitlock, Jr, bull "sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit."

When they had to move the Coliseum race to Saturday because of weather, they gave everyone refunds.

It’s not unprecedented.

I'm sure NASCAR will give everyone refunds, and probably open the stands up free of charge. NASCAR and SMI are usually very good about this.

At this rate, I think it ends up being a Monday Night race.

Honestly that’s sweet though. I haven’t seen a true blizzard up here in years, it’s really something just to walk around in
The only walking around I plan to do is taking the dogs out and servicing the bird feeders. Hopefully neither activity will take me more than 50 feet from the door. The dogs will be taken out the front door; that side is downwind so hopefully there will be less accumulation in the front yard.
