Darlington RACE thread ---

Alan told Jeff " good finish, sorry we let you down tonight" and nothing but crickets from Jeff. Not a word.
Really? Source? I'd imagine it's dissappointment in the crew and in himself for the second to last restart. Well... for every other restart all race, really.

Exactly. There's no **** to even talk. I wanted Junior to win that so bad, but Harvick deserved it.

Gordon will get his win too. You don't come that close that many times without eventually winning one.

I didn't feel like it was warranted at all last week. That car was just killer.

I feel like their race strategy leaves a lot to be desired. I can't just stop watching so obviously I'm waiting for that w.. So frustrating though.

Best car won it. The way it should be. Congrats.

I'm sick of this race. Glad this crap is over. Gordon deserved to be in contention and you'd think after YEARS of having chitty restarts they'd fix the problem. Nope. Moving on.
If he deserved to be in contention he would have been.... and maybe the problem isn't something the team can fix... maybe it's the driver... I mean come on he admitted it himself he's not good on restarts.

Eeenope, Earnhardt Jr. apparently doesn't take after his old man. Had it been Sr., Harvick would've been in the wall on that last GWC.

Well he already has a win and 2nd-3rd place points help ensure the chase...let's be fair...other guy had tires...not use in crashing out...especially after coming in last - last week.

Hard to believe the 48 & 20 haven't won yet.. Wow it's so competitive this year...

Honestly, Earnhardt Jr. should've gave Johnson a helping hand on that first GWC and hold up Harvick.

I thought you were okay with GWC when we talked about it in a thread I created.

Races should never end under caution and I stand by that. There's a difference between having a G-W-C so races end under green and manufacturing late race drama with bull**** cautions so EVERY SINGLE RACE has a green-white-checkered finish.

Something in the gear ratio. Gordon has gotten bad at restarts but this particular instance was all car.

Dumbstafon is such a vanilla guy. Boring personality, boring conservative ways. This guy needs to go.

By the same token, Gordon is being way to nice to him.

Really Alan should have been a goner after last year.

How were those in any way manufactured cautions? Just curious...

EVERY RACE EVAR?! that last caution was 100% worthy of one. Joey having a tire rub n all :sarcasm:

The restart was fine. He was even with (I think it was Kenseth?) going into the corner, then he almost wrecked in turn one

The second to last one he washed up the hill real awkwardly in one.. I think he fudged that one up. He held on on the final restart with much fresher tires though... I'll give him that. We weren't a 7th place car though.. That stings.

Yep that and Clints a Clunt

What did he do now?

I changed channels at that last caution because I knew exactly how everything would play out so I didn't wanna waste my time.

Yeah, no. The caution that set up the G-W-C at California was bull****. The caution that set up the G-W-C at Texas was bull****. The caution with 10 to go tonight was bull****. And the caution that set up the G-W-C after the bull**** caution that bunched the field up was bull****.

Just never lifted when the 41 did.....and of course took Kurt out.

Kurt was throwing debris all over the track at the bottom of turns 2 and 3 at Texas. Joey blew up and probably got oil everywhere which is why I thought I saw smoke on the restart(speedy dry)... and how in the hell can u call Kurts wreck a bs caution?

Im pretty sure that wasnt a tire rub... u dont go to the garage because of a tire rub with 10 to go

Huh? Earnhardt had a shot to win and might have won had the race gone green to the end. Are you honestly saying Junyer should've intentionally taken himself out of a shot to win so Johnson could win?

Pretty sure that violates the 100% rule.

Heh.
