When it went to Menard, Jolo and harv and then kurt low I knew it was gonna be a wreck. Just a question of who gets the worst of it. This brings up a good point....I find some of the hairiest moments of a race are on a restart, near the end of the race when your guy/gal is in the top 10....its crazy how much I get into it.

Fight for every spot, and that much is owed to the crews that do their best to put a driver in the right spot. He has to be able to face them knowing he did his best to maximize his advantages like they did.

I guess people can see it either way. I just think a big part of being successful is using good judgment in those heated situations. Heck, wasn't it Menard who tried to wreck Larson because his slide job made him crack the throttle?

Now, I doubt Harvick, Logano and possibly Kurt will be too careful around Paul.
 
Hell, I had Joey picked in the game and Edwards too that all got screwed in the restart...that that idiot busch caused.:mad: I guess I should be crying about Menard as loud as the rest, but I can put myself in his shoes, I would have done the same thing, I got a chance at this and I am going for it. So were Harvick and Joey and the rest of em.

ya want to talk about "professional", look at the 18 car, lost it and took out the 14, and then intentionally turned Truex, and didn't own up to any of it.
 
Nascar got what they wanted with that restart. Menard took a chance because that win was so important. He knew he didn't belong up there, but you know what, who knows what could have happened differently. That could have been the move that won him the race. I was so pissed at Mendard sunday, but now not so much. This is all on Nascar. They wanted teams to take more chances like this to win races and grab a chase berth. They got their wish, and the so called "fans" who enjoyed that got their wish as well. I can only imagine what kind of sh#t house Saturday night is going to be.

Yep, he is going to get himself hurt, or kicked right out of the sport. No body is going to want to race with him. 10 years from now it will be more likely that we are watching an ESPN outside the lines report on "Kyle Busch, What Could Have Been".

happened a long time ago, when because of fan outcry, they changed from double file restarts with the lead cars up top and the lappers on the bottom to lucky dogs and wave arounds with double file restarts. I don't have a problem with it, but there were advantages with the old style.The back markers would get in the way on restarts, some lappers were fast enough to get their laps back. But the late race restarts were the problem, there weren't many side by sides for the win when they were all bunched up at the top.

Sunday night wasn't about double file restarts. It was about a car and driver in over their heads running P2 when they shouldn't have. Only reason Mendard was up their was so he could try and steal a win and get that coveted chase spot.

the restart would have been different if it was Hamlin or Harvick up there instead of Menard. That is my point. Menard didn't have the car or the tires to compete in a already piss poor lane and he back up the field that cause the wreck. If it had been Hamlin or Harvick it would have been a different story.

we wouldn't be having this conversation if it wasn't for Busch. ;) be grateful, crybabies need something to cry about. Menard is easy, but if the wankers got their way and everybody that snoozed(which the only decent restart all night from the top was from Jeff) was at fault so their sparkle pony could advance it would be a perfect 20/20 hindsight world.:)

There was no way Menard would have won.. no matter what happened on that restart... the high line was bad all night and the only shot Harvick or Joey even had at a top 5 was to go outside of the slow car... Joey made the mve first... Harvick followed... Menard's spotter was taking a nap or somethin lol...... and I get going up the track to block... but when the car is already to your right rear quarter panel.. you stop trying to block... hold your line and see what happens through the turn... but when something like that happens... giving enough room under you for yet ANOTHER faster car to get inside with two on the outside..... well thatr earns you a Bonehead of the week award on R-F.com :D

So, let's get back on topic here and reiterate the facts. Kyle should definitely be a part of this discussion. Had he not wrecked Truex, Menard's wreck would never have happened. I think NASCAR needs to look into the 100% rule on this one, because clearly this was attempted race manipulation by Kyle. He was trying to screw both Kasey and Harvick over. I guess one out of two ain't bad. ;)
