maybe I'm the only one, but I'm bored to death with post race burnouts, unless you can repeat what kyle did by hanging out the window.

in the vast world that is motorsports, has anyone seen something new?

Well, it has been awhile since Carl Edwards won a race. Maybe he can teach other drivers to do the backflip?

You gotta blow apart the rear tires and destroy the quarter panel like Harvick and Logano do. Or drift like Gordon did at Martinsville in 2013.

I always thought the traditional way of saluting the fans with a lap around the track with the checkers flying was good enough. Maybe some of the top Nascar drivers can get with some NFL receivers and learn how to bust a few moves.

Maybe they can throw their steering wheel into the stands. Kind of like how football players give the game balls to fans.

Who would be the first driver to take my suggestion? :D

Oh I know, they could do an evel knievel jump. Put two ramps on the front stretch on either end of a stretch of buses and have the driver jump over them with his car and then cue the explosions while the car is mid-air.

Nuthin beats a Kyle Busch burnout and bow ..................... there is just something about a guy bowing to a booing pissed off crowd of rednecks

Love the bow , not the head first slide , the back flip will get harder to do , believe me.

You are related to Brian France arent you :D

I can take it or leave it. But I think it is mostly for the fans attending the race who like the smell of a burnout.

Every driver should do the Kulwicki lap (aka Polish victory lap) for their first victory. He did it so he could see the fans and they could see him.

Who knew what a fitting tribute that has become.

I think my favorite victory celebration is when Carl tore the hell out of his car sliding through the grass after winning the 2011 All-Star Race. That was priceless.

I liked Stewarts climbing the fence celebration...reckon it might set a bad example for those drunk fans during the race though.

Kurt used to do a snow angel

Unless they can do ones like this, they might as well stop.

Sorry, but I think Jeff Gordon did the best Martinsville Burn-out

Speed: don't take this wrong, but since you brought up jeff, it reminded me of great (other) forum fodder from many years ago.

would have to get serious about research, but once upon a time jeff had a miserable failure while attempting a post race burnout. of course the anti-jeff fans (maybe me included, since i was an Earnhardt fan:D) were all over him, claiming that he forgot he had traction control that prevented his spinning of tires!!!

that being said, given it's jeff's final year, I hope the Gordon fans get to see a couple more victory celebrations!

not sure that i'm ready for the NFL stuff, but it's quite apparent you are somewhere near my age. that lap around the track was always cool. and kulwicki took it to the next level.

and the best drivers where I came from had a flag holder welded to the door frame (late 60's, early 70's).

one step further, and this was at the menard's closed (land values) hales corners, the driver (Sievert? his tradition?) gave the flag to a kid from the stands. (Damn I love short tracks!)

Good lord. I can't believe that you trolled that up. They tore his car into little pieces and found that it was the way it was geared. Holy moly.

Nice idea but the first clumsy person that cant catch will sue.

sorry Johali. wasn't this board (hadn't found it yet). and i'm guessing it wasn't you I was playing with, since from what I've seen here, you would have ignored the trolling but bitten back later!

did not know they tore his car apart!!! always wondered though if that was around the time they made the teams place the MSD boxes on the dash.

just for you, if you can keep a secret... always had great respect for jeff. but damn it's been fun playing with some of his fans!;)

I think It was shortly after that when they found a TCD in one of the cars and changed the location of the boxes to the dash. It was a mid packer but I'm not sure which one.

Fed up with burnouts, back flips, and fence climbing.
I could compromise and and accept gymnastic splits from future female winners.

Kiss: Keep it Simple _____.

Just an old fashion winning parked car in front of the flagstand. A winner standing beside the trophy, wearing a chosen cap. Most importantly with a troohy queen flashing glorious thighs, weaing an impossibly snug top, and a million dollar smile.
Every driver that risks their life, chasing the dream and glory, deserves that perfect moment.
