We KNOW the driver isn't going anywhere, but SOMETHING has to change. In my opinion, even the war room strategy for the 9 sucks right now. I have always been a big defender of Alan, but maybe the relationship has run its course. They ALL do eventually.

That says a LOT more about how uneven the competition has been lately. They have good weeks and bad weeks. The 9 only has mediocre weeks where they scramble their ass off to get 12th.

The downshift was clearly heard on the in car video and discussed in the booth. I wish someone in production would have had the presence of mind to feed a question about it to the pit reporter. I would have liked to hear Larson discuss whether he thought that played a role in the crash.

Keep in mind Bowman's stats include a blown engine and a couple of wrecks that weren't his fault. Honestly I feel like they have shown more speed, if not consistency than the 9.
