Dale and I will have to agree to disagree on that one. I think Cup racing at Bowman Gray is preposterous, and pointless.

Only so that I could be informed about what transpired, not for entertainment purposes, of which there were none. The same thing that applies with me to restrictor plate races. I watch only so that I know what happened., and most of the time I fall asleep two or three times while doing so.

But the second half more than made up for it. For the record, I have NEVER been a fan of races on a track shorter than a half mile, and that goes doubly for stock cars, so the whole premise is lost on me from the word go. Throw in arctic temps, a sleet storm. 100+ laps run under caution...

Every bit the dumpster fire I was expecting. One of these days I'm going to wise up and not even turn my TV on until we get to points race #2 in the season.

R Ray might be the single most important employee in the history of HMS. Ray raised the bar to levels never seen there, or probably anywhere else. Just about everything good that has ever happened to that organization has Ray's fingerprints in it somewhere. Younger fans probably do not realize...

Because in typical 21st century NASCAR management, you make a change trying to fix something that wasn't broken, and when THAT fails to bring the desired results, you double down on what failed and come up with an even more absurd variation of it. Now that that idea has failed to gain traction...

I'm puzzled how going back to a format that was widely despised everywhere but NASCAR HQ and saw fan support erode like a California mud slide is a perfect compromise. Looks more like continued throwing excrement on the wall and seeing if ANY of it manages to stick.

Right now, NASCAR is SO FAR behind the NFL, I wouldn't waste five seconds of consideration over what they are doing. NASCAR should concentrate on NASCAR and get their own house in order before worrying about what the NFL is doing. We are where we are now because these ten week formats not only...

Better than what we had, but it still keeps the two things I hated about the Chase. Too many races, too many drivers. Should have been five races on five different kinds of drivers for five drivers, but there are two many asses that need kissed because everybody whines if they aren't included...

The ONLY thing in question is why one of the engines failed. The handling of the aircraft after the failure is out there for the whole world to see, and you don't need the NTSB to learn that you should NEVER try to do what the pilot did, ESPECIALLY in THAT airplane. EVERYONE with ****pit time...
