Bojangles Bonehead

It's a toss up between the #4 crew and Tony Stewart. Some like his attitude...I don't. Brian Scott isn't great, I'm not saying he is. But he did absolutely nothing that warranted Tony to flat out wreck him. I guess Tony feels like he has nothing to lose since it's his final year.

That may cover this year from Tony but what about past arrogant moves and statements? I remember some comments about blocking that were total hiprocisy and taking out
most of the field at Dega.

The 4 pit crew. Obviously. It's been this way for over a year. Painful.
I suspect it may have something to do with that motivational speaker they often get to hear on the team radio. Just a guess.

Tony Stewart's hypocrisy extends beyond tonight. I'd like to know how B Scott was racing around the 14 for the previous few laps. He was several laps down and didn't give Stewart any room in the one corner we saw before the boot.

People for expecting JHN to back off and let Custer win because he's supposed to care about his chase chances

Cup: the 4 crew as always

Bonus: Stewart's attempted murder of Brian Scott

There's a difference between racing someone and downright, no good, dirty driving.

Ask anyone who's ever raced with John Hunter in Late Models. Bubba Pollard, who is the most respected driver in Super LAte Model racing, went on a tirade tonight about JHN's driving style.

Every race I've ever watched that he's been in, he's wrecked someone.

Oh please. I've watched him in late models since he's came on to the scene. That's the tweeting of a driver who's consistently beaten by JHN and jealous of the success he's having. Pollard also dumped JHN to win Speedfest so does he really have room to talk? :idunno:. John Hunter raced him rough but Custer still finished the race and had a chance to win. Better then Chase Elliott gave Ty Dillon in 2013. This is classic overreaction culture in NASCAR now becuase these guys have had their balls cut off. It's easy for a bunch of jealous competitors to take pot shots at a guy on Twitter, not so easy to beat them on the track. Cole Custer has raced dirty before, and even roughed up John Hunter on the previous restart, where he was magically awarded the lead by nascar when he was never ahead. It's called karma

John Hunter Nemechek for being a d bag. I won't say he always drives like that, as I seen him race pretty respectfully up until that moment, and I've seen him live a few times in Late Models as well, so it's not every time like Andy said. But had he just got into him, and spun him out or something I don't think it be an issue. It's the fact he slammed him into the wall and kept just pushing him into the wall. People even at the end of the all with the opening was had to RUN because of that crap. He isn't going on my s list yet, but this here made me lose a bit of respect for him.

I said every race I've ever seen him in, which is plenty.

If he had bumped him and then bodyslammed him, it'd be fine. The way he drove him all the way down the track like that and then turned him after... that was worthy of a "change my tires" reaction. It was **** ass racing.

As far as Pollard, he's the most respected driver in Super Late Model racing. And I wouldn't say JHN consistently beat him. He won the Derby (and was involved in some incidents in that race too IIRC) and a couple other races. But consistently? Laughable.

Not to mention, JHN's cars were always the best cars, hands down. I've seen random drivers who haven't done very good since get in those cars and turn into super amazing race car drivers.

JHN has a reputation. And now, he's solidified it.

Tony Stewart fosho.

Classic nascar fan reactions to a young kid coming onto the scene who starts kicking ass & taking names without "paying his dues".

If entitled drivers want a code of ethics coming to the line on the final lap, they should look into european open wheel.

NASCAR for allowing John Hunter Nemechek to keep that win after that malignant foul.

Kevin Harvick's pit crew for doing what they do best ... costing Harvick the win in a race he should have won.
I agree 100%.

Still can't believe they didn't have a spare gun in the pit box in their pit. Had to go swap with the #10 car??

Did I hear correctly that Harvick has finished second 23 times since joining SHR? If so how many 2nd's are the result of the pit crew ''stepping on their 'toes' ?"

hard not to argue its the 4 pit crew.
As it was I found myself cheering very hard for uncle harv to win that one,

Harvick would have probably won the race had he not hit the wall towards the end there.

Many times after a weekend of racing, I don't have even one legitimate bonehead move worthy of being called bonehead, but this week my cup runneth over...

> John Hunter Nemechek for his blatant dirty driving at the last corner. His first bump was OK, his second was debatable but I thought it was slightly over the line, and his third was just plain dirty and inexcusable. At least when Chase Elliott deliberately wrecked Ty Dillon at the same corner three years ago, in a move that was equally dirty, Chase had the courage to own up to his dirty driving. JHN didn't. (I'm a fan of Nemechek, or I was a fan. I'm not a fan of Custer.)

> Tony Stewart for wrecking the 44 as punishment for the crime of being on the race track.

> Kevin Harvick for publicly whining (yet again) about his crew, and maintaining his Harvick vs. The Team stance (yet again). He says, "It's Rodney's and Greg's problem." Hey Harvick, if you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem. That is the way successful teams work.

> The 4 crew for not having spare air guns ready at hand. Despite this blunder, the 4 team was fourth fastest in the pits, with 11 stops in 505.4 seconds. The 78 team was third fastest, with 11 stops in 503.8 seconds. On average, the 78 team was faster by 0.1 seconds per stop.

If you seriously didn't enjoy that trucks finish you need to get a life lol. Go watch Formula 1 where there's a pass a race, or better yet watch the 300 lap spread out parade at TMS. NASCAR fans don't deserve good things

Hold up.

Let me get this straight. So, Harvick is wrong for getting upset for the team costing him? I understand his frustration because this his not new. By the way, they didn't have spares!? What kind of professional racing team does not have spare impacts? That in itself is very questionable from a preparation point of view, everyone knows to bring spares when it comes to working. Having a backup plan is important because you never know what will happen.

Harvick said, "I'm tired of being a cheerleader." I for one do not blame him, it's getting closer to the chase and costing your driver 17 spots because of a lack of preparation and constant miscues when pitstops count, that's what Harvick is infuraiated about. I for one do not blame him for telling it like it is, he takes the blame when he doesnsomething wrong. This causes more work than necessary for the driver and Harvick over drove to do try to get back into the lead and slapped the wall. If, the pitstops were like they were during those green flag runs, Harvick would have won last night.

You have to tell the truth and I'm certain with Harvick being SHR's best chance at a championship, Gene is going to make sure his driver gets what he needs. That was terrible last night and I expect changes or some nice warnings are going to be brought up during today's team meetings.

I keep repeating this , but I think it pertains to your argument . SHR was established really quickly by Nascar standards . They hired four drivers and put together four sponsors , but they are still building teams . Unlike Hendrick , who was able to take Jeff Gordon's team and give it to Jimmie , do you really believe that SHR has great crewmen on it's other teams to give to Harvick ? I have to agree with the others who say that Kevin has to motivate these guys because there is no other solution .

^ Kiante, my opinion is that Harvick is being counter-productive by repeatedly going on TV interviews (and other media) and berating other members of his team, and saying stuff like "Rodney and Greg" need to get people that will perform. His frank assessments of personnel and his ass-chewing remarks should be done within the four walls of Stewart-Haas Racing, IMO.

Can you imagine Tom Brady telling NBC interviewers that he is sick and tired of the Patriots' weak defensive line losing every game, and every time I score a touchdown those guys let the opposition waltz in for scores against us? I can't imagine that.

I'll go with Kevin Harvick's pit crew. It's well past the point of ridiculous at this point.

Close 2nd to Tony Stewart for dumping Brian Scott for nothing to do.

I won't say JHN for using up Cole Custer in the truck race as that has been so blown out of proportion I'm over it.

Agree

What if Custer had used up JHN? The under funded single truck team has their chase (yes I know they're already in, role reversal here), and big payday chances ripped away because someone wanted to be an idiot.

Would it just be hard racing then?

This board has a soft spot for JHN, it's been obvious for a while.

Cole Custer because he didn't get out of the way of JHN.
Brian Scott because he didn't get out of the way of Tony Stewart.
Finally the wall, because he didn't get out of the way of Harvick.
Sometimes you just should get out of the way.

I gotta give it to JHN, that was just flat dirty racing
