That's a possibility I bet. There will be more sanity there without the rabid Nascar crowd if she gets a shot at those series.

I don't like the Deegans. I came from MX background. Am 66 so been around since it was on 6 inches of suspension travel. Never liked the bastardization of the sport by Deegan and cohorts. It's WWE on wheels. Not gonna mention some of their other stuff.

So...that team HAS had issues getting a car on track this season that didn't have parts falling off/failing. So from that perspective, she ain't wrong. But this IS a team sport. The team & her lost confidence in each other. It happens. Doesn't have to be blame placed. But some will.

For some reason, Deegan's short suit seems to be on road courses. Those are her worst finishes. Do not see how IMSA would benefit from her, other than from a possible PR stand point

She ran third in her class in an IMSA race last year, led laps. I know that doesn't fit the narrative in this thread so ignore it and go back to the regular scheduled programming.

Have to apologize, did not really follow IMSA. Just went on her results from NASCAR both in the truck and Xfinity.
 
Honestly I think the best thing she could do for the rest of the year is if she could get out of the Ford deal and buy a couple races in the JGR Xfinity rent-a-ride. If she cant do something with that maybe its time to go home.
 
I think that AM should give Derek Krause a chance. The few times he raced this year, I believe he put his one off's in the top ten a couple of times and top fifteens in the others.
 
The only thing I am focused on is getting back to being competitive. That is ALL that matters to me.

I'd believe that more if it had been followed with, "To that end, I'm suspending my social media activity to concentrate entirely on racing."

Has a 45 million dollar spread to pay for. Won't be surprised if she goes the Decker/Breidinger "modeling" direction. (OF) Got to do what you got to do. Got bills to pay.

I'm not sure that 45 million thing is close to accurate. Might be 4.5 million. 45 stuck in my brain though.

Only time in 71 pages young Harry has been mentioned. Similar racing career to Deegan and many others, but the wrong gender to get anything like 71 pages even if he drove the car nude.

Even at the low number, it doesn't sound like a wise expenditure for someone seriously interested in climbing the racing ladder. Just my opinion; I've never tried to be a professional athlete nor been interested in $4.5 mill properties.
 
Meh. Brian's place is 35 acres. Think that's what I was thinking of. Hailie had stalker issues so some details aren't particularly public facing. I really don't care about it.
 
I'm saddened for Hailie Deegan. She has a lot of talent and is still very young. I'm not sure AM Racing was the right situation for her, a top 10 from Joey Logano at a road course doesn't tell me much, Logano could win in a BJ McLeod car. I don't think she got a fair shake. Hopefully, some team in the Trucks gives her another shot.

The social media stuff PAYS her. So I understand it. She regularly posted about being in the sim rig. Not sure what she should have been doing to prepare more unless she starts building her own shocks. Seen lots of, should be racing other types of cars. Who pays? Maybe nobody wanted her?

And remember, I don't care for that family at all. Just saying.

I watch bunch of celebs on Instagram. Some, like Kate Beckinsale, post every day and maybe 2-3 times a day. So it must be worth the time? No idea how it pays anything. Some things bout internetz I don't know or really care to know.

Her equipment got a top 10 on Saturday. I'd say equipment isn't the problem otherwise she'd be getting top 10s.

I know so little about social media; indeed, I've only looked at TikTok once and never at Instagram. I don't know how her number compare to ... let's say a moderately successful driver like Ross Chastain. I also have no clue how much time or effort it takes to maintain a presence across multiple platforms, or how much time it leaves for other priorities. Obviously a reasonably attractive young woman will always get some degree of attention on the web. I don't know what she does to pull in an audience, but I find it hard to believe they're following her for her on-track acumen.

Maybe the thing to do is consider being a entertainment personality as a career priority, and relegate racing to a hobby. It worked for Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, James Garner, Patrick Dempsey, ... Frankie Munoz :D

They do pretty well. Here are a couple who are full time Youtubers with a fraction of the subscriptions that Hailie has. Youtube money paid for the new shop and many of the fixtures. I have watched both of these guys for a number of years and watched them grow.

Because no one thinks Harrison Burton is good. Deegan has simps defending her poor results with “but 100 pages, millions of followers, bad equipment” and that’s why the conversation continues. It takes 2 sides. Nobody can say Harrison Burton doesn’t suck in cup. What he does have are 4 Xfinity wins… something Deegan wouldn’t sniff even in a Gibbs car.

But not to the point I'm willing put my pride aside and look over the shoulder of a two-time Cup champ. A champ who struggled to fit in with his first Cup team, so who may be able to relate to my professional development problems.
