Apologies my Sox anger has typo’s galore.
 
I don't follow baseball but am aware of most sports in general so knew of the 21 game losing streak. I had to chuckle a bit when I saw they fired this guy after Chicago finally won a game. Maybe he found something but we'll never know, will we.

An absolute dope, but the problems for the franchise start at ownership level. This is jarring to hear but the team will turn around when Jerry Reinsdorf passes and the team is sold.
 
It's funny we started with NASCAR at Dodger Stadium rumors and end up with baseball at Bristol

Inconsistencies and injuries adding up in Baltimore. This might be the worst month in Orioles baseball in years.

Yankees have the division, and probably the whole thing, on lockdown this year. Best team by far.
 
I finally found a baseball fight I'd been looking for for years. I just had this memory of Mike Lieberthal tackling a batter from behind.

Sept. 21, 1934

The day after Dizzy Dean delivered the dizzy prediction that the Dodgers "will be pitching against one-hit Dean and no-hit Dean" in today's doubleheader at Ebbets Field, it almost comes true. The St. Louis right-hander allows three hits instead of one in the opener. In the nightcap, younger brother Daffy pitches the predicted no-hitter.

Dizzy and Dazzy leave the Dodgers in a daze. Dizzy has a no-hitter for seven innings before yielding a hit in the eighth of the Cardinals' 13-0 laugher. But Daffy, a rookie, outdoes his big brother in the 3-0 nightcap. He allows only one baserunner, walking Len Koenecke with two out in the first inning.

The Deans will account for 49 of the pennant-winning Cardinals' 95 victories this season, with Dizzy going 30-7 and Daffy 19-11. The Cardinals will win the World Series in seven games, with the Dean brothers gaining all four wins.

Kudos to you for remaining a fan of the White Sox.

Back in the 40's and 50's there were only 8 teams in each league. The Pirates mostly finished in 8th place but I still loved their team. My Dad would take me to see them play maybe twice a year at Forbes Field and it was the thrill of my life. It was about a 100 mile drive (ea. way) for my Dad and he enjoyed baseball at least as much as I did.

As a fan of the team with the most losses in professional sports history the Phillies it really makes you appreciate the good times. Magic number for the playoffs was down to 1 last night hopefully we can lock it up.

It’s been hard the last few years, especially when their rebuild from 2016 that bore fruit in 2020 and 21 failed. I’ve been a White Sox fan since I can remember, I’ve seen some things. Seems the last 3 years or so, They’ve made every wrong move imaginable and are truly the worst run organization in MLB but also a case can be made in overall sports. Then I wake up to see this gem of an article and realize it’s going to be a very long time until White Sox baseball matters around here again.

It hurts, they’re my probably my favorite Chicago team and 2nd favorite sports team behind the Dallas Cowboys but nothing is going to change until Jerry Reinsdorf sells or his time on earth has ended.
