WOW! If this is correct there is a significant surprise here. Gateway must be doing it right by NASCAR as they get moved to the second playoff race on Sept 7th. That will be a great time to be there at my current home track…weather usually has turned to comfy from summer’s heat. Nice!

Rockingham is a good track for those two. Is the east coast saturated, or will the fans show up? Time will tell, but it sure looks like a trend of the past revisited. I love that track for the Trucks though.
 
Just got an email from Bristol saying they're back in April 11-13, no dirt. Which we knew, but sounds like this baby is about to be unveiled any moment now.

That had to be hard trying to keep alive for many of the lower, less funded truck teams and no picnic for the larger ones either.
 
Happy to see Michigan back in June with trucks. IMO the best track for the truckers is at MIS, that taller greenhouse punches a perfect hole in the air for drafts down the straights

They are all going to be twisted sisters at Michigan. It's a killer race for the Trucks. They race all over the thing.

There's still a full month between Lime Rock and IRP. The truck schedule would make more sense if NASCAR would move the starting date away from Daytona to later in the spring.

It will be interesting to see if there's another series at the Lime Rock weekend. The modifieds used to run there, or maybe Menards East.
 
Don't overlook the Trucks return to Darlington. Sure, the X and Cup races there are usually terrific but back when Labor Day was a triple-header weekend, the Trucks were often the best race of the three!

I followed the first one. I think it doesn't do a very good job of showing the travel involved in the schedule. I guess it's a decent representation of what faces the guys who shuttle the race drivers' RVs directly from one track to the next (assuming that's what they do).

This is also what I care about but I suspect ARCA East is the go to and not the Mods. Mods might get me to fly home for the weekend and bury the hatchet over IMSA not going to Lime Rock anymore. Having said that, nothing that good happens any more in my life.

The NASCAR "In-Season Tournament" is seemingly meant to drive new interest in the sport yet the three rounds of seeding events that will set the tournament brackets will only be telecast over subscription based Amazon Prime.

Granted, the mid-season, five race elimination tournament will be on TNT, but it's hard to imagine that introducing such a new concept in competition as part of the first year of a streaming service will cause much initial interest and will also, as @AndyMarquisLive states, run the risk of alienating older fans.

I'd argue that if they lose fans and and the media looses viewership. The mid season "tournament" gimmick is supposed to have us all running while screaming to Amazon Sign Me Up.

67% of households in the US already subscribe to Amazon prime. I do believe that is more than any other streaming service has, kinda apples to oranges though because most have it for the shopping, but that's still more than the percentage of people that still have cable.

Well, I'll sign up but I would have done that anyway, tournament or not. I don’t know what other programs are available but it's not likely I'll stick around after the five races.

Even if their relative TV revenue ‘slice’ stayed the same as it is they’d be getting more money with the pie getting bigger. But the most recent update was that they’ve agreed to a new TV revenue split, the remaining holdup is mostly related to governance and other revenue opportunities.

They have a kind of a tour you can do. Nothing but more of the same.

Dunno.

My three adult kids chipped in and bought the pricey s.o.b. for my wife and me several years ago.

Haven't had any problems with it since day one.
