Years ago at Martinsville, the Penske drivers manipulated the restarts when they had P1 and P2. The driver leading the preferred inside lane would slow the line to allow the other Penske car to take the lead from the outside lane. Other multi car teams started to do that at a variety of tracks when they got P1 and P2. I don't see that technique happening anymore. When teams get innovative they end up adding to the rule book.
Brad K and Joey repeatedly jammed up the restarts, the same race that Kenseth did what he said he would do to Lagono.

Drivers were being told what to do. Their bosses were telling them what to do. From now on, Nascar told the drivers to not listen to what the car makers are telling them to do. Nascar also had a talk with the OEM's. So, IMO the clusterpuck will continue.

"Team Chevy" as it is, manipulated the end of the Martinsville race to Byron's benefit whether he, possibly being as dumb as a box of rocks, knew it or not.

IMHO, because of that manipulation, "Team Chevy" should have been severely penalized by imposing a disqualification of the #24 car, like the #48 car was at the Roval, with the finishing position of the #24 dropped from 6th to 37th (last) place.

Sure, Byron would become the fall guy in all of this, possibly through no fault of his own, but "Team Chevy" couldn't possibly be adequately kicked upside the head enough without Byron ending up with a "Sucks To Be Him" sign stuck to his backside at Phoenix.
Anybody heard from Jim Campbell on this?

C Bell hit the nail on the head here. Make no mistake about it…Chevy created the fiasco last week.

I worry about this. Who is CBell gonna be? Good guy taking the high road.....Recognizing that he should have never been in that situation. Even with a so so day, he's in....or Is he gonna whine? He chose whine. His reputation is shaking Willy B's hand after the decision, and owning the fact that the 20 **** the bed.....and pulling bull**** in retaliation doesn't justify it. Nothing good here. Pick a lane. Are you Martin or Denny?

I love taking shots at the OEM however. Pre-Felon call last year, this wouldn't be an issue, the 1 would have stormed by....but Ross has his eye on the prize IMO. Kissed the ring. He will be rewarded.....and Marks is appealing the decision? This won't go over well with The Felon. The Felon owns Chevy. Where the hell is Jim Campbell?

That's great Ace Bannon cub reporter, but Trackhouse dropped their appeal.

Is there no amount of penance this man can deliver that will FINALLY put a stop to all this felon nonsense? He was one of many who participated in an illegal scheme to get some more cars for his dealerships, it's not like he killed somebody. He does more good for people in a DAY than most people would do in a lifetime, even if they had his bank account, and yet we have to have this crap. It just gets old. And for the hundredth time, why aren't Gene Haas and Junior Johnson ALSO referred to as "felons?
Because I met him, when he was scheming and using his blackmail, backdoor manipulations that caused many decent, honorable people to have to close their doors because of his planned criminal scheme. Pretty evident even in NASCAR to what he did in acquiring Gordon, his callousness on how he smiled at Davis, shook his hand, and then stabbed him in the back is indicative as to his true character.
