Denny Hamlin teams up with co-host Jared Allen and special guest Steve Letarte to break down NASCAR’s high-stakes season finale. They dive into the championship battles across the Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and Cup Series. Denny and Steve go head-to-head on NASCAR’s Playoff formatβ€”is it really balancing winning with points, or is it time for a serious shakeup? They debate the Playoff’s impact, the regular season’s value, and why NASCAR might need a new formula to determine its champions.

I think Denise needs to learn when to shut up and stop making enemies.

You figure the legal team would have a better muzzle.

I mean... 11 years of this format through 3 different series and only 1 winless champion out of a possible 33 isn't exactly a GOTCHA moment for Hamlin there lol
I meant more along the lines of his second tweet about the lawsuit. I posted the first one to paint a picture of what was going on

What did he say about it? I don't know too much about it really but yeah he certainly should butt out if he's giving false information.. at the same time, it really doesn't matter much what Larry says lol

Does anyone else have a bit of a feeling that the reason 23XI even exists is to have this lawsuit?

Just seems like weird timing, why buy into a sport when you have such an issue with the way ownership is run? It's not like they didn't know the model before starting the team.

I could be wrong, probably am. Like I said, I don't know too much about it.

To me, it just seems like they never even came to negotiations in good faith and being open to negotiate. "Give us what we want or we'll sue you"

To me it's just a matter of what either side sees that charters to represent.

Idk much about the details but from what Ive heard.. to me it seems open and shut. NASCAR has rules and runs things a certain way. They knew the model when they decided to start a team. If they didn't like it they shouldn't have been here at all.

I'm all for the team's being treated well.. but the way this all happened just has an odd vibe to me.

Im looking forward to seeing what happens but I'd hate to see them come in and build a competitive team only to throw it away.

To me it's way more important that Tyler Reddick has a job than if Michael Jordan makes enough money.

I do wonder if this was Jimmy Johnson making the same claims how they would be received. Not saying Denny is right but a lot of the instant rejection seems to be tied to how many feel about his jerk face rather than any legal or business assessment. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

I dislike Denny, and I like Jimmie, but there is something to be said about someone who will take a stand and tell us what he REALLY thinks, whether you agree with them or not. I'm sick and tired of robots that are afraid to have an unpopular opinion. I am always deeply suspicious of people and organizations that are scared of criticism.

In this case I think the problem is there is very little respect for Denny’s opinion. So telling us what he really thinks just has many of us shaking our heads.

Maybe because you don't like what he is saying? Like him or hate him, unlike any of us he has a REAL skin in the game and I think his point of view is a least worth considering, especially when he is the ONLY one from the ownership side that is willing to even discuss the issue in any meaningful way.

But Denise isn't a shill.
You sure? He's a shill for his own organization. They overspent and now the dollars don't add up.

After entering into agreement to purchase the charters from SHR and now seeing the the new charter deal, it's obvious these 2 teams overspent and have no option but to sue.

As a side note you'll never get me to feel sorry for 23XI and their claims about being broke after they spent a fortune building that shrine they call "Air Speed"

Bunch of greedy turds run NASCAR. I hope they get their ass kicked in court.

Well I think nascar teams spend money like a drunken sailor, then complain about being broke.

Good thing neither of us get to decide who's right in this one....

The guys that spend the most money will consistently be on top.
And that's why you need a spend cap and/or a luxury tax.

You can't both complain about the problem and be it.

For me at this point, it's not about feeling sorry for anyone, it's about people getting what they deserve. That doesn't mean they wouldn't send every extra dollar they make chasing speed and buying fancy buildings and end up just as "broke" as before, but I DO think the teams have earned a bigger piece of the pie, and the right for their investment to have some permanence to it.
