Christmas day has a forecasted high of 62 degrees! And it’s gone up every time I have looked. I suppose if we aren’t going to have a white Christmas, maybe the next best thing is for it to be warm enough to go outside.

Brrr..... Not sure how these people do this up here each and every winter. And it normally gets way colder than this in this region. I'm glad I'm only here a few days at a time.

It's not a thing in many locations. They don't happen often enough to be worth it.
It's like snowplows. When a southern location has to shut down for a couple of inches of that white crap, there's always some goober asking why aren't there snowplows? It's not worth buying and maintaining a fleet of plows for something that happens once every two or three years.

It's been whiplash here. But it looks like after this weekend, we're going to be in a long, extended period of, and these seem to be the most commonly uttered words by meteorologists here, "well above average temperatures" and "record high temperatures."

U-tube weather nerds saying Southeast gonna freeze mid-January thru mid-Feb. Likely in single digits here in NC. Possibly heavy snow. Or 4 inches like it usually does.
Had about 28 different models but they all agreed...gonna get COLD! Might be a good time to dig up the end of heat tape on waterline and plug it in. No idea if still works. Put tape on in 2013-2015? Has a thermostat. I don't really trust those thing. Essentially a dead short under the house.

82 degrees today. Felt great. Cold front tonight. Calling for sub-freezing and possible single digits second week of January. Not okay.

Can confirm here in Northern OH it feels like more of a real winter so far, just not much snow yet here. Wouldn’t be shocked if it gets pretty rough there in January

Anybody trying to do 10 or more days forecast should put the pipe down. But everything I've seen says extreme cold coming. I'll let you know if it gets cold here so you can find your jacket.
