Wowza
I might be hallucinating, but I think I read somewhere that Suarez was going to be driving in the Mexican race there.I'm a bit surprised Suarez isn't in an X car for Mexico.
I think that news will break soon.I'm a bit surprised Suarez isn't in an X car for Mexico.
you're adorable!Yeah, he absolutely knows what to expect, and that's why he's racing at Daytona. Thanks!
Hooked up with Zilisch? I wouldn't want to leave.Happy for Mardy, Jr is lucky he hasn't been snatched up by a Cup team.
I understand, but my friend and former teammate Charles Denike just got the nod as CC for Bubba Wallace, Mardy has twice the experience and deserves a shot. But you are correct, it should be fun watching those twoHooked up with Zilisch? I wouldn't want to leave.
I think it's cause he probably has raced at a high level more recently. Plus they are making him do the ARCA Race before hand. Not that I'm a Mike fan, but yet they'll guarantee a spot to a guy that's never turned a lap in nascar in his life???
So if wallace runs the arca race do they allow him in then? I think wallace running is kinda a joke but IMO he gets screwed here. They say he doesn't have enough recent experience, yet the closest thing to nascar Helio has ever done is SRX and he's guaranteed a spot for the race? And they don't even allow wallace to try to race his way into the race?I think it's cause he probably has raced at a high level more recently. Plus they are making him do the ARCA Race before hand.
Look I wanted to see what he could do at his age. Maybe he can do some races this year else wheee and try next yearSo if wallace runs the arca race do they allow him in then? Maybe I'm in the minority here but this just makes no sense and seems unfair.
I'm not in disagreement, but I think how the rules are he got screwedThey’ve done Wallace a favor.
If he wants to race, get a dirt car like Kenny and go racing. They’ve done Wallace a favor.
Carl Long is an organized crime figure?
What terrible news that the senior citizen known for drunken brawls and crashing women was prevented from fulfilling his dream of qualifying (again) for the Daytona 500 a decade removed from racing literally anything at all. This will terribly affect the race team that used to be owned by an organized crime figure who subsequently sold it to his partner, the plucky underdog that got caught cheating once.
If you are talking about the "over size" engine HE didnt cheat. He leased a sealed engine that was a little to big on one cylinder and NASCAr had no way to punish the builder so Long got the shaft. What terrible news that the senior citizen known for drunken brawls and crashing women was prevented from fulfilling his dream of qualifying (again) for the Daytona 500 a decade removed from racing literally anything at all. What the heck does previous ownership have to do with anything happening in 2025?that used to be owned by an organized crime figure
Exactly what I was saying.....I could certainly understand why they might want some kind of refresher for somebody that has been out of a car so so long, but its alright for Helio, who has NEVER driven a Cup car to race? What exactly did SVG do to get approved to run Xfinity plate races? I do remember that Danica and JPM got speedway approval after running ONE ARCA speedway race. There seems to be a real lack of consistency here.
Mike Wallace response.

It's not the type of experience, it's how recent. Helio has been running Indy, IMSA, and SRX continously for a couple of decades. Mike Wallace hasn't been in any form of race car in several years. One has regularly shown his reflexes and decision making are still competitive; one has sat on his ass.I could certainly understand why they might want some kind of refresher for somebody that has been out of a car so so long, but its alright for Helio, who has NEVER driven a Cup car to race? Thanks.Mike Wallace did run in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2020. He competed in three Xfinity Series races with JD Motorsports that year, specifically at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, Road America, and the Daytona road course. His best finish was 24th place.
