That clip I posted T-Mez was talking nice about Australia.Saturday here. I'll watch some way.
He's been too NZ as wellThat clip I posted T-Mez was talking nice about Australia.
That Engler on the side of his car is Tim Engler. When I was in my early 20's and had a blown modified pulling tractor in Indiana Tim was one of the best multi engine tractor builders in tractor pulling and he built a lot of the top puller's tractors. He was also a multi time NTPA champion and built a tractor with 7 blown 454 chevy engines on it called the Mission Impossible. Now he has a racing fuel injection company in Indiana, and he has an engine dyno and a chassis dyno that he dynos and helps tune a lot of the midgets and sprint cars for teams. He has been working with T-Mez building that new car he is driving at the Chili Bowl. He is one of the smartest guys I think I have ever met when it comes to anything mechanical or chassis building. He also built a lot of the cross boxes that you needed to hook all of those engines together in a multi engine tractor over 2 engines. Most of the 2 engine tractors were just coupled together crank to crank. That clip I posted T-Mez was talking nice about Australia.
That Engler engine in T-mez's car is half of a Nascar motor. It was pretty buggy last year, but it looks a lot better this year. That Engler on the side of his car is Tim Engler. I hadn't seen that video above before I did that post. I didn't realize that was actually Tims motor and car. I thought he was just helping T-Mez. So, T-Mez is actually driving for Engler. Learn something new every day. That Engler engine in T-mez's car is half of a Nascar motor. It was pretty buggy last year, but it looks a lot better this year.
Yeah, the whole thing, chassis and motor.I hadn't seen that video above before I did that post. I didn't realize that was actually Tims motor and car. I thought he was just helping T-Mez. So, T-Mez is actually driving for Engler. Learn something new every day.
Here was another video I found of T-Mez getting the results from a pull on the dyno in a different car. It also shows a modified tractor Engler was building. You might have to start the video over.Yeah, the whole thing, chassis and motor.
Ended in 8th.
I never put it together that he was the guy behind Mission Impossible. I actually looked for photos of that tractor the other day (I remember watching it VIVIDLY on those old pulling/monster truck shows back in the day). That Engler on the side of his car is Tim Engler. Tim and the Banter Bros were definitely the master minds behind most of the innovations in tractor pulling back in those days and were definitely the ones that won more championships than anyone else. Tractor pulling started out pretty cheap to compete with just an old, carbureted gas engine, and then pullers went to the old 454- truck blocks-because they had a 4-bolt main so they could put a 671 blower on them with less chances of breaking the crank shaft. Pullers also started using the 396 Hemis, or some Ford engines. The next step was the very expensive aluminum block and heads Keith Black and Arias racing engines and bigger blowers or Allison aircraft or turbine military engines. So, NTPA made a weight change in the rules and allowed an extra 200 pounds for the 5000- and 7000-pound classes so that you could run 2 cast iron blown Chevy engines which was competitive until pullers started running 2 KB'S or Arias's. NTPA added the 9000-pound and unlimited classes, so a lot of pullers would add a 3rd engine for the 9000-pound class and remove it for the 5,200 and 7,200 classes. The unlimited classes are where it got completely in insane with 4, 5, 6, and 7 engines. Here is an old 4-part Hidden Hero videos of Tim and his Mission Impossible. The video is fuzzy, but it is pretty interesting.I never put it together that he was the guy behind Mission Impossible. And didn't knock the gopro off when flipping! She was plenty fast.Reimer flips on lap 1 of heat # 1 … goes to the back.
Works her way back to the front 4, spins out and goes to the tail again. From there she recovered to finish 3rd. All this in 8 laps. Car is fast.
