Daytona RACE thread

Nice I can put it next to my 3 championship ones!

Remember people, Derrick Cole has a Daytona 500 trophy. (Won in similar bullsh** luck conditions no less!)

And the only reason Busch is pissed at Joey is because it didn't give HIM the opportunity to wreck someone for the win.

Or sneaking through like the 24 did to win the race. I'd love for one person to give me one skill it takes to win this race.

Logano fans still can’t accept the fact that Bloey ruined his own race huh

Fox didn’t even talk to JG in VL. I hate these stupid front stretch interviews.

My knock on Byron:

I’d like see him piece a full season together again. He did in 2023.

Chase Elliott is insanely consistent and is also a top five driver. It’s actually James Dennis I’d take off the top five list for Byron but Chase fans gonna Chase fan.

All you had to do was say Ricky Stenhouse has a Daytona 500 trophy.

Stenhouse also has two Xfinity championships and Cope also has a Dover trophy.

Both are weak arguments for demeaning the talent it takes to win at Daytona. A better argument would be Trevor Bayne.

Hasn’t Larson won a **** ton of races the past couple years?

Elliott is a champion who earned his win.

I'm no Elliott fan but I'd prefer a bonfide champion who got it done when it matters with his 1 win in 2 years to a driver who's greatest strength is tricking fans like yourself into not recognizing that he has telepathic super powers with the ability to manipulate your brains into thinking he isn't lucky.

It's too bad he choses not to use his psychic powers to make his wins more convincing
