Hendrick Motorsport News

Dude shut the **** up when it comes to potential injuries.
Bite me. The point is that he wasn't injured. He was sore. I will thank God every day that he wasn't injured....as I will for every driver. Never want to see anyone hurt. Don't twist this into something it isn't.

Was dale Jr the best driver at hendrick? No. Did he go long periods of time without winning? Yes. How great was Kyle pettys career? No where as good as chases has been. Maybe he should just shut his irrelevant ass up!

Kyle is paid to be an analyst, he’s giving his analysis . Where is Kyle telling lies in that video?

What does winning races have to do with winning a popularity contest? Jr taught us not much.
Why do you keep mentioning Dale Jr? He wasn’t even brought up in this video. Anyways I interpreted the video as Chase has been under preforming, shouldn’t his fans expect more?

Because he was another most popular driver who was not the best driver of his teammates and did not win very often but kept winning the award. It's a popularity contest. What do driving results have to do with it?

And Bill Elliott before that. Bill only won the Championship once in 38 years racing in the Cup series. JR went years and didn't win a race and a third of the stands would get up and leave if he wrecked. .
But that brings me to this point with all of them I have never been able to wrap my brain around.
Why do so many Elliott fans week after week cry crocodile tears about something so obvious? They blame the car, the pit crew, the poor crew chief, other drivers, teammates and of course Nascar. You name it and it never ends?

Kyle Petty rattles the Elliott fans cages.

The only cages he is rattling are the fans that are too myopic to see the truth. Do I think he could turn it all around this week and go on a world class ass whipping tour? Yes. Do I think it's possible that this IS as good as it gets? Yes. All the talent and potential in the world exists in the 9 garage. The million dollar question is, what are they going to DO with it?

I think to a point a driver that wins a lot has a chance. But they need a personality to go along with it. Going by merch sales Larson has surpassed Elliott and Kyle Busch is in third place. Looking at Busch and his slump but he is in 3rd I think most of his older fans have continued to like him and with his more lighthearted ways I believe he has picked up more fans popularity wise. Larson is more of a winning popularity factor. I think he has been really good for both Nascar and Dirt Sprints. Glad to see Bell being able to do some too. Rising tide lifts all boats.

Does Chase Elliott even care anymore (Did he ever care)?

I always saw the most popular driver award as a fan club accomplishment. To each their own but it just never meant much of anything else in my opinion.

Dale Earnhardt was probably the most popular (and hated) driver for most of his career but he didn't win the thing while he was living.

I think the merch sales are more accurate. If fans are plunking down hard cash to buy their stuff that is pretty telling. Jr I think is still like 8th after all these years for yearly sales.

I honestly believes he cares about winning races and championships. Beyond that, I don't think he cares one bit about the whole dog and pony show, and I'm FINE with that. I'd far rather he be authentic then try to be Jeff Gordon or whoever.

Even when Elliott was winning a lot of races to back up this most popular driver award that grown men seem to care a lot about, it was always the same **** we hear today. He's "boring", has no personality, he's NASCAR's golden boy (they still for some reason think this) and over exposed and shoved down our throats. How they didn't understand WHY he was popular. And if it isn't that it's something else. The goal post never stops moving when it comes to the guy and I don't quite understand it. Nobody knows what they want from Chase except maybe to just go away it seems. For a guy as reserved as he is I've never seen so much disdain and negative thought surrounding a person.

Yet it's the Elliott fans that are considered obnoxious in all of this? OK

I think Kyle picked the wrong, (or maybe right depending on how you look at it) time to throw shade at Chase. The results have definitely been vastly improved the last three weeks, but three weeks doesn't make a season. Let's see what happens between now and playoff time.
