That’s a sweet scheme

Glad Larson's Indy stuff is over for another year, and he is safe. I do hate how his day went, but most importantly, relived that he didn't get hurt. I hate, hate, hate the part time Indy stuff. I do not think that pulling 240 into a corner is for part timers. I don't give a **** how talented you are. I don't want this guy hurt.....and in order to be the best you have to beat the best. Kyle Larson is the best. Let's get on with the season now.

To me it's more about the 600. It's already an endurance race on a track that requires attention, and then you want to be more tired on top of that? It's just an insane concept.

I don't hate what Larson is doing, it's an attempt at a personal goal that he has and Rick Hendrick wants to do also. Much to learn about Indycars.
He said the reason he spun was the aero coming off of Sato's car slammed Larson't front end down in the corner and brought the rear end around. The aero bear is alive and well.
Terrible race conditions, cold, and misty. I said at the first delay at the start, just get out of the car and head to Charlotte. Larson never would have been able to finish the race regardless of the wreck or not. Pockrass said there were 25 laps left in the race when Larson should be wheels up at the track.

Seemed more like he spun because he downshifted too hard.

I like seeing racers doing the double. The goal to do the almost impossibile is a great thing imo.

I just wish the 500 was still an always Monday Memorial day event to make the logistics a little easier.

I'm going by what Larson said in an interview. Could be different, I wasn't paying that much attention to the Indy race.
The downshift was clearly heard on the in car video and discussed in the booth. I wish someone in production would have had the presence of mind to feed a question about it to the pit reporter. I would have liked to hear Larson discuss whether he thought that played a role in the crash.

Today was definitely not what Hendrick, Arrow McLaren, and Larson imagined. A rough way to end the day. He explained what happened after leaving the infield care center.
“It was a bit crazy there on the start, and yeah, I got like tight behind Takuma. I was really close to him, and I think as I finally got maybe shaded left, and I haven’t seen a replay. I got loose and just kind of got all over the place. Yeah, drove me, yeah, so I spun. Just hate that I gotta little too eager there on the restart and caused that crash.
The nose just grabbed and I spun.

I am glad that he wasn't hurt. Boggles my mind that NASCAR ****s itself on corner entry speed, and those things fly into the corners at 240 with pat time drivers. What could go wrong?

I've never been as strong in the fire Alan camp as some Chase fans, certainly not like my fire Keith Rodden campaign for Kasey back then. But I agree this team needs a shake up in some way. Chase can run consistsnt to be good in points, but he should be running like the 5 and 24.

So a writer like Austin Konenski thinks Hendrick Motorsports needs to make changes lol. Jr. didn't win race for 2 years. He kept Kasey for forever and he was terrible, but it's time to make changes to Chase Elliott and the 9 team setting 5th in points Austin Konenski thinks. What a dumb S*hit.

The "dumb ****" is doing nothing and expecting results to change. Hendrick made mistakes in those situations with crew chiefs and should of made changes well before he did. Elliott is immensely talented and I know you won't believe it as a Larson homer but as good as him. As @Formerjackman said a few weeks ago Chase is the worst looking top 5 in points. He needs to compete for wins and that is going to need a change the idea of we've tried nothing and we're all put of ideas isn't going to work. I'd flip crew chiefs on the 9 and 48 right now to see what it does.

Speaking of mistakes. What do they change. The driver?

I don't see Chase a quite as good as Larson but to me it is close. Much closer than some of the Larson faithful would like to believe. That said, this car just does not suit him. He was WAY better in the last gen car and while I credit him for admitting it and trying to change things I just don't understand what is going on with the 9 team now. Nashville they had a fast car to start - Chase rocketed from 11th to 6th at the beginning and was turning lap time within a tenth or so of the leader in clean air. He and Byron we racing great and had an nice battle. Then...all the sudden the car was junk. The spotter said it "looked evil." Chase said he was burning up the right rear and all Alan did was take a half pound out of it. Seems like a small adjustment for a car that was not close. They did not keep up with the track and I am not sure if that's on Alan or Chase or both. Something needs to change for sure though. For the idiots that think Chase will be replaced any time soon I just laugh at that. He is sitting 5th in points and running well and may have had a win at Kansas a few weeks ago had the crew not screwed him. Things do need to get better though. I will also say that when you are at a race where there is no tire fall off you need to keep up with the track more than usual because the driver can do little if anything. Also - the Fords and Toyotas seemed to be way better overall than the Chevys with little exception. Not sure what to make of that either but Chevy seems disinterested in making their stuff better of late.
