Enough Is Enough Full Season Championship.

I'm surprised they have paid so much lip service to the full season championship and how seriously they are considering it if they don't intend to follow through.

I don't see the case for landing in the mushy middle here. Trying to please everyone often results in pleasing no one. A large segment of fans want a return to a traditional season long championship, and they're sick to death of the entire playoffs concept sucking the oxygen out of everything else. Another segment like the playoffs and deplore the idea of championships decided before the finale.

Who exactly is in the middle and just wants slightly "fairer" playoffs? If the result of this uproar is just more tweaks to a defeated concept, it's another instance of lack of genuine leadership and vision.
It's doing the same thing over expecting different results. You would think by now after years of the increasing B.S. heaped over and warmed up they would figure it out.

Nothing has alienated NASCAR's fanbase more than the postseason.

The playoffs haven't helped ratings and increase interest. NBC giving up on NASCAR one year into a new media rights deal should've sealed the deal.

NASCAR selling its soul to a media organization that nobody’s heard of, just so 90% of their races can get buried on dead cable channels no one under 65 watches or even has, but hey, they get their billion dollars, so they don’t care.

CW is doing better percentage wise for Xfinity ratings than NBC did.

I am at a family function all night but what I’d going on, social media is melting down with the current system ?

Tomorrow is the end, for all intents and purposes, of NASCAR on NBC.

Next year, NASCAR on USA Sports takes its place alongside notable sports properties such as the LOVB and WNBA.

NASCAR better hope USA Sports gets to air a ton of Caitlin Clark games otherwise the ratings drop-off this fall might look like the golden age.

Coverage of 85 million homes for USA. I don't know about your dooms day predictions Myself.

VH-1, HGTV, Oxygen, Lifetime, CNBC and UpTV are also universal basic cable channels.
USA is NBC Universal/Comcast. They have an older audience...can't see that being a bad thing. They will probably use the gerbils...same crews etc.
It's their playoff dummies. It won't be popular wherever they put it.

Be happy, it's available on Peacock.

USA is NBC Universal/Comcast.

It won't be in a few weeks.

It'll be owned by Versant, which is still owned by Comcast but separate of NBCUniversal. So separate in fact that Comcast made Versant change MSNBC to MS NOW to separate it from NBC.

USA is no longer NBC Sports programming, with the exception of maybe the Olympics. It will be USA Sports, and USA Sports is focused on women's sports. And NASCAR is going to USA Sports.

Not anymore, USA is being split off from NBCUniversal under a new company called Versant. Still owned by Comcast, but not apart of the NBC umbrella.
That hasn't happened yet, Versant will still have NBC Universal when they do. Streaming sounds like that will happen also using Peacock.

For a tv network, and for selling ads, you get more money if 18-49 watchers is higher. If you get the network more money, you'll get more money on a TV contract. So yes, NASCAR wants people 18-49 watching over people 5 and older, because money.
USA is 25 to 54. That's better for Nascar.

It's an ongoing problem dealing with the TV weasels. You make a long term deal and a short time later they are gobbled up by someone else with a different vision...usually to fire as many as possible to make their stock go up.

Maybe I am just to simple but why not just build the best product possibile. The best possibile racing which includes great race control a great point system.

Build it and they will come.

Stop it with trying to read the younger or older crowd. Just believe and honour the racing enough to do it the right way.

The stories will virtually write themselves when they are worthy.

It is happening soon.

Streaming is NOT guaranteed. The entire point of Versant is to separate cable from the rest.

NBC Sports properties will be on NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN.

USA Sports will be on USA and the USA Sports channel (currently Golf Channel).

The four races on NBC are remaining only because of contract obligations.

There is no streaming in Versant’s plans. They’re buying up women’s sports properties because nobody else, except ION (which is basically USA on broadcast and streaming), wants them and it’s the only way to prop USA Sports up.

Versant has said they might shop streaming out.

THE only silver lining for NASCAR is that NASCAR on USA Sports is, by several country miles, Versant’s most valuable asset.

Not quite. Versant will have several USA Universal networks, MSNBC, CNBC, Golf, E, WNBA, Nascar, and WWE.
Streaming IS in the works.
Perry Sook, CEO of Nexstar Media Group, expressed the importance of "pivoting toward digital and streaming platforms" to adapt to changing viewer habits, reflecting the overall industry sentiment, including at USA Network.

MSNBC is becoming MS NOW. So they’re taking a recognizable property and changing its name.

The WNBA on USA Sports is only valuable if tney are airing the Indiana Fever.

Doesn't matter. The same weasels have their hands in all of it. They puff it up ride the wave dump and it crashes. Re organize rinse and repeat.

Here's a thought. I believe some of the owners have a pay for view network similar to Flo. Either one would do. Get rid of the networks, broadcast the races on Flo or the other under a subscription plan. That would mean they would have to get somebody with a brain to promote their race tracks to build the gate, bring in advertisers and let people like me who don't watch hardly any of the TV junk on the air to buy subscriptions to their racing product and quit paying the network monkeys to watch 20 year old re-runs.

This kid is sick. It shouldn't be this way.

Sounds like just the thing 23XI needs to get on ASAP since they don’t like the current option.
