Team Tonis, one of the LMP2 entrants, has fallen off the entry list and drops the field down to 60 cars. Not a good look for IMSA when they were awarded a full season entry after doing a one-off at Road America last year, especially when the number of applications for the Rolex was well into the 80s.

It has been a few weeks since the last race and I am really looking forward to the Daytona 500. This is one of my favorite races of the year. Last year’s race was amazing, with close finishes and unexpected moments that kept fans on the edge of their seats, showing just how exciting Daytona can be.

Anyone who is going to the race should check out this guide to some of the best fan experiences at Daytona. The Speedway is also home to the Rolex 24, Supercross, and other major events, so there is always plenty to see and do.

With great grandstand views, infield spots, and easy tram access, Daytona delivers a full racing experience for fans.

Daytona will be the first U.S. appearance for the famed Manthey Grello livery on the longtime Porsche team’s GTD Pro entry - will be an Endurance Cup entrant this year.

Lets also add ROAR news and results to this thread.

IMSA is looking for activities to fill the days between Roar and Rolex. Speedweeks isn't dead, it just changed series.
The first couple of times I attended the Roar it must’ve felt like the non-Scout attendance could’ve been measured in the dozens. You could’ve parked anywhere and wandered freely throughout the whole facility and paddock. The fact that they’re filling the infield and parking folks in the overflow lots for this event is just mind blowing to me. I’m fully expecting another record crowd for the race proper next weekend.

If it weren’t for the pit and garage limitations the Rolex itself would have a grid larger than 61 cars too. I’m curious to see what other events and series they try to bring in, the logistics of it all are difficult. But the fan demand is there for sure.
