Like I am supposed to be shocked? When you give all of the power to the corporations, the people lose their power.
"The people" have nothing to give. NASCAR gave nothing to the corporations; it sold its product in a buyer's market, subject to the economic Golden Rule.Like I am supposed to be shocked? When you give all of the power to the corporations, the people lose their power.
I’m okay with the Amazon side of it, the NFL arrangement along with millions having prime makes it a solid option. Heck my grandparents have Amazon Prime. But leaving network TV is a bad idea, just ask the MLSNASCAR needs to rip this TV contract up, then go sign a 20 year deal with FOX. Whatever FOX doesn’t want, CW and Amazon get.

As a side note, the LPGA has a new multi-year contract that will have every round of every tournament shown on Versant networks Golf Channel or CNBC. I haven't read how Golf is changing its PGA coverage so it can fit in more of the women, but for the short-term, our household would appear to benefit. There are still a lot of sporting events that are only on cable, especially events on Versant networks.

Eh, NASCAR is still going to be on USA on cable, as it was this past fall. If you could find it then, it's not going to have moved. Does anyone watching care who the parent company is?NASCAR and Versant is such a bizarre marriage. Nobody watching NASCAR will watch the LPGA, LOVB, Cait-less WNBA, Temptation Island, Christley Knows Best or MS NOW.
'Can't' or 'shouldn't'? If 'can't', why not?They can't remain on USA.
Both. Can't because ratings already suck. Shouldn't because there's no guarantee that channel will be around much longer or sold off into something else.'Can't' or 'shouldn't'? If 'can't', why not?
Thanks.
At some point, NASCAR needs to tell NBC to put the races somewhere else or those races will go to another network.

WB/Discovery is a huge mess in more ways than I'd like to describe (speaking as a diehard classic animation fan, my pain with this company is immeasurable). To the upcoming TNT fiasco should be fun.
The fun game to play will be betting on whether or not TNT and USA are still around come 2032.![]()
And people were wondering why the NBA left Turner after being with them all those years.
Nice cool for Grandview to get some exposure.
About time, some of the best racing around nowadays.
Yup. Featuring Jimmy Spencer and Mikey. What's the blocked video, good ol' 'Skinemax'?
The title has a bad word in it.What's the blocked video, good ol' 'Skinemax'?
If NASCAR was serious about 'connecting with a rapidly growing fan base in Mexico', it would still be running in Mex City.
You having a problem with it Charlie? It's Mexico AND Latin America. I believe it is about putting the races in their homes so they can view them (if they choose). They do have a Nascar series that races at Mexico City already. If NASCAR was serious about 'connecting with a rapidly growing fan base in Mexico', it would still be running in Mex City.
I have no problem with the TV deal. My gritch is that the Mexico City races turned out to be one-offs. TV coverage is great but as has often been said here, nothing builds new fans like a day at the track. Yes, NASCAR has a Mexican series but maybe rotate a couple of the US national series down there every other year or so.You having a problem with it Charlie?
