2017: Clean Air Is NOT King... Speed Is King

Some of you begrudge the "cheaters", not me though. I'm of the opinion that the best racing was back when teams were actually allowed to be outside of "the box" NASCAR mandates today. "Cheating" produced some of the best racing imo. Everything is too close nowadays but just my 2 cents though.

Who was the worst driver to win a Cup race

Trevor Bayne?...Wood Bros built an incredible car for that race.

    Ryan Blaney

My curiosity is with how long this arrangement with Wood Bros is sustainable for? The team isn't going anywhere, but if HMS or SHR coming knocking with a nice big contract and all the personal marketing opportunities that come with a big team, will Blaney stay or go? It's not always about the...

    Ryan Blaney

Performance not the issue with 21 car...Long term funding and a top tier driver contract with all the marketing opportunities is where Wood Bros might fall short IMO

    Ryan Blaney

We all know he's locked in with Penske on the 7 year (or whatever the # is) deal... The problem is Penske may not be able or want to expand back to 3 FT teams with full funding. I believe they will resign Brad K and continue with Joey leaving Blaney on the outs. Given his performance this year...

mike joy seems to have given up

Am I the only one who thinks Dale Jarrett does a great job? I enjoy his insights, and he really understands the sport and does a nice job conveying it on the broadcast.

What Driver Would You Most Like To See Their A$$ Kicked?

Denny should've had his clock cleaned a long time ago if you ask me

Can Ford win the 2017 MENCS title?

    Who's watching practice?

Looks like the Penske plate cars are picking up where they left off. Brad dominated fall Talladega race until he blew up. Curious to see how SHR will stack up against Penske cars

    Biffle Says Goodbye To Roush

Biffle is a quality driver, I'm disappointed none of the 2nd tier teams didn't ditch their current driver to bring him in... Which speaks to my 2nd point, which is the widening gap between top tier seats and 2nd tier teams is quite significant now...Obviously no top tier team is going to replace...

    Suarez HOF?

Whatever it is you took this morning, I'd like some.

Is Carl Edwards deserving of being enshrined in the NASCAR Hall of Fame?

It's the NASCAR HOF, not the Cup series HOF. His combined NASCAR stats include 72 wins and 53 poles. If those aren't HOF #'s, I don't know what are.

    Silly Season For 2017

On the mystery retirement...my thoughts are that it's Kurt. He's had a good career, won lots of races and a championship, likely realizes his best days are behind him now. He has a new marriage. Also, we know Allen had some history with him at FRR. Wouldn't surprise me at all if it's him that...

    xfinity, I'm done

How many of those 196 races were won by either JGR, Penske, JRM, RCR or Roush? Your issue shouldn't be with who's driving, but rather WHAT they're driving in. Big team vs little team is just part of the sport. The same teams are winning, the drivers are interchangeable.

    Silly Season For 2017

Shocking revelation there, the only time TBR has been up front was during the jet dryer accident red flag. Thinking out loud here...but could TBR expand their technical alliance with RCR and give Ty the seat? Might work for both parties.

    xfinity, I'm done

There's ALWAYS been big teams and little teams, always will be too. I don't get the opposition, if the racing is good then I'll watch. If the racing sucks then I'll tune it out. I don't care if it's David vs Goliath, the names and teams change over time. I just like watching good hard racing.

    Goodbye to 11-second pit stops???

So they're going to cut a guy from the over the wall crew? Then they'll turn around and pay the same guy to catch the tire or brush the grill with a 12ft pole.

    Silly Season For 2017

I still find it absurd that the longest running NASCAR team didn't qualify for a charter. I don't blame them one bit for their stance. Wood bros are awesome
