18 team penalized for loose wheel

In other NASCAR news this week, Brian (The Brain) France debuted yet another new rule. Citing diminishing track-side crowds with drivers as well as sponsors bailing from the sport faster than Kathy Griffin’s employment opportunities, Brian assured reporters that this new ruling is sure to...

Waltrip's Nascar 4 point plan Fix it

Don't get rid of those six races just yet.... 1. In those 6 races only, run real "stock" cars and NASCAR will see fan and sponsor interest as well as loyalty levels soar. 2. Never postpone or delay a single "stock car" race for weather. After all, stock cars have headlights and windshield...

    Kentucky removing seats..

Bobby Kennedy, when running for office, said, "I would much rather speak to a small packed house than a huge auditorium only half-full with twice as many people. It looks better." I actually caught a few minutes of the Kansas race on TV and it seemed to me the camera operators were avoiding...

Who was the worst driver to win a Cup race

Menard! Tony Stewart said, "You can have your father buy your ride and write DEI a big check, but you can't buy talent. And that's what John Menard's been good at his whole life, is just buying success. He's bought his son a Nextel Cup ride and he's got just enough talent to be in the way...

Logano's Richmond win will not earn him a playoff spot

I was told, by a member of my favorite race team, that if NASCAR wants to bust a team with an equipment violation, all they have to do is start tearing the car down... Too much of NASCAR controlling the race, if you ask me - a large part of NASCAR's current problems. Curtis Turrner et al...

2017 Bristol - Food City 500 - Pre Race Thread

Years ago, I knew an old shine-runner-turned minister that used to say, "Ain't the Lord good to us? He makes beautiful sunny days for us then makes days like this for the little ducks". "

Where Are They Now? ‘Handsome Harry’ Gant is still rolling

I ran into Harry a while back at a show we were attending in West Jefferson, NC. He said he had been doing some carpentry work, of late. He spent a good bit of his personal time meeting fans and signing autographs even though he was out with family and friends. Harry Gant is a genuine gentleman.
