Burton: ‘Fans were cheated’ when Jimmie Johnson chose not to qualify at Fontana

By this time next year, I'm sure, NASCAR will have developed a points system for practice and qualifying.

    Bonehead of the week: Phoenix

Bonehead move of the week? That guy in the grandstands that paid $1431 for a front row seat at the Start/Finish line. Had he purchased a $72 ticket he could have sat anywhere he wanted (except the closed vacant sections)

April possible date for future spring NASCAR PIR race?

Don't you mean, "No excuses"? I must admit I did not go to the race...or even watch it on TV. I would like to take this opportunity to publicly apologize to NASCAR for my lack of support but something extremely important came up. One of our cats, Goldie, likes to sit on the screened-in back...

did anyone ever stand up to dale earnhardt?

Isn't this what its all about? Teaching respect? Sometimes you climb out of the dugout and kick some dirt in the direction of the umpire's shoes...then see some calls start going your way. Other times it can be the best way to fire up your team.

    I don't get it.

It seems to me this is not about racing. It is about TV coverage and sponsors. When there aren't enough yellow flags to let the TV company to play all their commercials, they run their ads during green flag racing and we complain. When they go to split-screen, we watch the race not the ads and...

    Jr gets a warning..

Curtis Turner was pulled over several times. Maybe I should say, many times. Once with a carload of friends, after dinner and drinks, he was giving them a ride in his car...Curtis was driving them around the old Daytona track which was half on the beach and half on the road. He had the sand...

Kyle Busch - Nascar's next great?

I have been saying for years Kyle may be the most talanted driver out there. I think he would be driving like Curtis Turner if NASCAR powers-to-be didnt do everything they can to hold him back. Still, Kyle breaks records. It seems to me he learned a lot last year. NASCAR ain't about racing...
