    Teams in the year 2020

Might be a little early to throw SHR in, but it could easily be. With Tony out and changing brands it might take a little to get in form and also would depend on how Bowyer and Danica do.

Cup Cars on Road Courses--A Compromise?

I've always like the road courses and for many of the early years I don't believe the cars were really given a lot of attention on being made for a road course and the cup drivers really weren't all that good. Maybe why Gurney won I believe three times in a row. As the teams started looking a...

Maybe in the near future SHR would have a opening for a woman.

Keselowski Testing Penske Indy Car at Road America Today

True but I think they know that there is a big difference, but the big boys take away a lot of money from the little teams trying to build up also. Be kind of like having the Yankees play the farm teams.

Keselowski Testing Penske Indy Car at Road America Today

Tony got roasted for playing in the sand because he placed his enjoyment above his responsibility to the team and sponsor. Cup guys have been running in the minor league for ages. I can see both sides of it but it does put the Xfinity teams at a disadvantage to race against the cup drivers teams.

The latest to be bit by the new lug nut rule

I don't have a problem with what Nascar did. They tried to give the teams a basic rule and the children got carried away with it. Tony having his rant just kind of sealed the deal. Nascar I guess decided OK you are so worried we'll change the rule to where we will check and penalize for loose...

lug nut rule putting a monkey wrench in money stops??

The teams can only blame themselves. Nascar gave them free reign and they blew it. They just had to push it and then the drivers complained to Nascar instead of the team owners and CC. Nascar was forced to step back into it and now the teams aren't happened. Lesson is be careful what you...

    Romain Grosjean

If he wants to try I'm all for it. I have no doubt that he would have no problem getting a good car and crew to race with.

    Bonehead of the week: Pocono

I liked how Ryan did his payback and making his point. I didn't see the replay but wasn't Joey hitting him on a restart? If so just maybe Ryan didn't get a good start and Joey did, leading to Joey hitting Ryan and going around. If Joey did it on purpose I wouldn't think that he would pull up...

    The end of an era

I generally enjoyed Tony. He let his opinions and emotions be shown and it got him in trouble. He drove hard and loved to race anything. Wish he would be able to leave on a better note than what he has so far, but who knows he just might pull a rabbit out of the hat and win again yet.

    What happens when Junior retires?

You are correct in that respect, but in a more modern era Petty had the team going downhill. It never has and at this point I don't think it will make being a top tier team. The major teams have the money and equipment to get the best of the best. The mid tier teams get the rest.

    What happens when Junior retires?

I don't see much difference than when Bill Elliott and Richard Petty retired. The fans will go on to another and there won't be much of a downside. Petty's operation made the transition but it still hasn't been able to break into a good middle team operation. Close but not quite there. I'm...

An Article I wrote in on why I fel out of love with NASCAR

I agree pretty much except for #3. The lucky dog isn't a problem with me. Remember that drivers were slowing down to let certain other cars get by, so having the lucky dog just made competition to be next on the lucky dog a part of the strategy. The announcers especially the Waltrips really...

The Driver Formerly Known as Brad Krashalotski Says Drivers and Fans Should Get "Unconfused"

Sorry but I guess we disagree. The racing wasn't garbage but the planning for problems wasn't very good and that is on Nascars lap. That it hurt Matt was icing on the cake for me. Maybe the drivers and CC should have opened their mouths if they had concerns instead of throwing darts...

NASCAR TWEAKS RULES FOR KENTUCKY, MICHIGAN RACES

I'll give her credit for being good at avoiding wrecks, but if you're riding in the back most of the time car management is easier and you get more practice at trying to avoid wrecks.

Has Joey Logano Passed By Kyle Busch As Nascar's Most Hated Driver?

For me Joey and Brad are what drivers should be. They are always pushing for a win. They won't sit back and say mother may I please pass you if you won't move. Matt was wrong and I believe this whole new chase format has him rattled. He isn't used to the pressure of winning or die. Used to...

NASCAR TWEAKS RULES FOR KENTUCKY, MICHIGAN RACES

Wasn't the air dam partially for not letting air get under the car and getting it airborne? I'm not sure myself, but if it was I can see tweeking it but we still want to keep the cars grounded. I like the idea of having a car that isn't running on rails and the driver and team having to work...

The Driver Formerly Known as Brad Krashalotski Says Drivers and Fans Should Get "Unconfused"

I don't really understand the blaming of Brad for this whole deal. He came up with an idea and Nascar went with it. Yes they didn't plan ahead for what ifs but I don't see where that is Brad's fault. Matt's team was the only one that got burned on the deal so shouldn't it be up to his CC not...

    Alan Kulwicki for the HoF?

To be honest I think that it would be early to consider him. There are still many out there that were a factor in the growth of Nascar. Alan could have been a HOF, but died to early.

    Sprint All Star Fan Vote

Seems to me that fans are the ones that don't get the part about a all star race. Why would you want to vote someone in that you know is going to ride at the back and do nothing?
