    Cup RACE thread --- Daytona

Jacques Villeneuve... isn't that the driver that wrecked a bunch of drivers on road courses in the Xfinity Series in the early 2010s?

With the apparent success of the Clash at the Coliseum, I'm convinced Stadium Racing is how NASCAR can revitalize the All Star Race

If you're going to host a race at a track that's capable of hosting a full length race with a full field, why not make the race a full length race with a full field?

    NASCAR Pick 'Em 2022 - Daytona 500

Seems like a simple enough game. I'll try it out this year.

With the apparent success of the Clash at the Coliseum, I'm convinced Stadium Racing is how NASCAR can revitalize the All Star Race

At present, the All-Star race is pretty much purposeless. What's the point of running a shortened race with a limited number of drivers on a track that's capable of hosting a full length race with a full field of drivers? The All-Star race would actually have a purpose if it were held at a...

Johali’s Rate the Race Thread: Los Angeles

I'll go with a 9. Lots of action on such a small track. I enjoyed it. Due to the track size, there were no pit stops or pit strategy, and the main race didn't seem very long. That's why I didn't give it a perfect score. But, the race was fun for what it was. Perhaps the amount of racing today...

NASCAR 2022 - Bold Prediction Thread

There will be at least two charter teams in Cup that fail to start a points-paying Cup race (or multiple) because they do not have a car available to race with. For clarification, when I refer to a team, I'm referring to individual teams that revolve around a single car number.

Mrs. Johali is at my house!

I'm glad I got to meet Johali at the Summer 2015 Daytona race. For some reason, I didn't think to get a picture with him, even though he took one of me and my dad.

One of the best values on cable t.v.

Most people who live near a large or mid-size city should be able to pick up their local PBS station with an antenna. Cable is not required for PBS unless you live far from a transmission tower, or live in an area where broadcast signals are obstructed.

    NBCSN going away?

I'm someone who did not have NBCSN, but do have USA Network. I'll be able to watch NASCAR without having to find an online stream in the second half of this season.

Pre-race: Busch Lite Clash At The Coliseum

When I looked up the start time, I saw it started at 6:00 ET, which is 5:00 CT. I thought that start time was for the heats, with the main at some point after that.

Pre-race: Busch Lite Clash At The Coliseum

What! The heats are already over?!?! I was expecting the heats to start in ~30 minutes, with the main at some point after that!

Hello, everyone! Texan here. Roads and highways in other states have potholes on them? They don't fix potholes when they appear?

I've been using the nickname "Wrecky Spinhouse, Jr." for a few years now. Though, I think I read someone use that nickname elsewhere before I started using it.

    Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

Almirola's team is fooling themselves if they think this rain will be enough to soak the track and end the race early.

    Cup RACE thread --- Atlanta

The rain that's headed towards the track is very light and shouldn't last more than a few minutes. It shouldn't be heavy enough to soak the track and end the race.

But, 113 is not uncommon for Phoenix or Las Vegas. It is for Dallas-Fort Worth, and especially for Kennewick.
