I agree, I think the team that does the best throughout the entire season should be regognized. I think consistency is as important as winning. My point is that I find the current playoff system entertaining and entertainment is what all sports are.

Before the playoff system the championship was usually down to a couple drivers by September. The first playoff system - you were out after one bad race. The current system mimics a the playoff systems used by other sports and I find it more entertaining.

I like the idea of having the cars with a feature to limit the top speed when in caution areas, all the cars maintain their position. But I don't understand the rules for giving a lap back or moving cars around.

I'm not a fan of street courses, They are usually concrete canyons where the driver can't see around a corner. The Chicago track looks a little interesting (not sure how narrow the track is). I'm guessing a pass will involve trading paint.

I like the throwback race. I've been following NASCAR long enough to recognize most of the throwback paint jobs.

I noticed a few lapped cars made it harder for Ross to pass during the end of the race. I think some drivers experienced Ross' rough driving and drivers have long memories.
