In the rate the race thread (which I don't want to hijack) someone mentioned how great it was watching the 2, 9, 18 and 12 battle it out to the end. Sorry, on that last restart, there was never a threat from that point on that any of those guys were going to catch the 2 or even pass each other...

5...not how you can go higher when ONE car (thankfully a Penske) led almost all 500 laps. There was no racing out there.

The only part of this race that was good was a Penske driver winning; other than that it was utter boredom. Passing was impossible. Might be the worst Martinsville race I've ever watched.

I turned it off at lap 10 when he took the lead. Went and found out just now that he won...good. I didn't waste my time with 240 laps of boredom.

Matt got his later on...limped off into the sunset after getting parked by NASCAR. Tried coming back and did nothing. It was awesome.

Dropped from 2nd to 3rd but gained 50 points on the leader...I'll take it.

Just go back to the "roots" of the sport and start all over? Drop a lot of these big time sponsors...get guys who build STOCK (yes, I know...STOCK) cars in their barns and bring them to the track to race? If this means a literal start over of minor TV deals, tearing down grandstands, drop...

I would have said KB for speeding when he had the most dominate car but then again, there was no penalty really in the end for it. This is why they push the limits of the rules. No bite.

the EXACT same thing happened 100 laps earlier where half a tire was laying on the bottom of the track to pit road....no caution. I still don't know what happened to that tire.

This....how NASCAR is getting away with this propaganda is beyond me....I mean, mention it ya...but to beat it the way they were would have made a 13 year old boy going through puberty proud.

Of course not, it was cancelled out by a scripted caution flag.

2. In what other "sport" (if that's what NASCAR truly is) can you be one of the only guys out there who commits a complete blunder and luck your way into a win? Answer: none. Including WWE.

Rate the race: 2. The only top driver who made a colossal mistake still was not penalized by it. LOL...You do that in ANY other sport, you won't win...only in NASCAR.

This sorry sport is so desperate for ANY storyline...it's actually sad. Can you imagine them touting a one championship driver like this in 1995???

These announcers should be shot..."And all of a sudden, KB lead is shrinking!!!!" ....as it increases.

Oh, I'm sure they would report that even if they discovered it...LOL
