Why do they do a restart for 1 lap of racing to go to stage break?

Well Joey and Erik both had wins for JGR and were still given the axe. The case could be made his potential isn't much different than the other 2, yet he's not on the hot seat. The kid isn't going anywhere because of his name.

I'm pretty sure they have to turn in the unused ones, but they probably let them keep the race used ones. As far as wanting to study them I'm sure they take back a few sets. But just think how many sets HMS went through last night on 4 cars.

Charter money is guaranteed. You get more for better performance, but if you finish dead last you still get paid out. Bottom line is they bring in more than enough to run, but its an arms race that they choose to spend more on. If a single entity runs all the teams the arms race is gone.

I dont see much of a change in switching. Gene doesn't seem to want to put up the money to be top level alliance and chevy has more than enough spread out on manufacturer money that I can't see them throwing much to Haas.

Like them or not the France family puts a lot of work into the sport. I despise Denny, but I'll also admit he puts a lot of work into the sport.
