Is he??? I would maybe agree a couple years ago, but that seems to have worn off.
Look at it this way if he left which sponsors are leaving with him? I can't say I'm confident he'd take any with him.
I dont like Ty at all, but the kid has promise and has shown some flashes of being good. My issue is with JGR in that drivers with better results were shown the door in the past.
Let's not let the facts get in the way of a good argument.
Maybe we could talk about how someone's teammates have 10 victories in the 29 races this season.....
Well Joey and Erik both had wins for JGR and were still given the axe. The case could be made his potential isn't much different than the other 2, yet he's not on the hot seat. The kid isn't going anywhere because of his name.
I'm pretty sure they have to turn in the unused ones, but they probably let them keep the race used ones.
As far as wanting to study them I'm sure they take back a few sets. But just think how many sets HMS went through last night on 4 cars.
Charter money is guaranteed. You get more for better performance, but if you finish dead last you still get paid out. Bottom line is they bring in more than enough to run, but its an arms race that they choose to spend more on.
If a single entity runs all the teams the arms race is gone.
Sounds like I missed a good one last night, but it was opening day of archery season for us. Listened to the teardown on the way out this am and will definitely try to watch this one on the dvr later this week.
How so? You're competing against yourself. Teams trying to come up with the next big thing is what drives costs. Nascar gives teams more than enough money to operate, but teams spend everything they have trying to beat the next guy. It has and will always be a problem until teams agree to a...
I can't for the life of me figure out the significance of bringing this plan to light. Seriously did anyone think they'd be dumb enough not to have a backup plan just in case?
I'd like to see it over in September, but for different reasons. Hunting season opens here middle of September and I'll be honest I like racing, but if I'm home and its not raining I'm out in the woods on a Sunday afternoon.
I dont see much of a change in switching. Gene doesn't seem to want to put up the money to be top level alliance and chevy has more than enough spread out on manufacturer money that I can't see them throwing much to Haas.
