I'm not wrong. I like bridges....especially the Golden Gate. Fabulous.
How are you so sure of yourself? Did you pick up the rev phone and speak with the commissioner of Toyota?

I am a very confident person. How are you so sure of yourself? Did you pick up the rev phone and speak with the commissioner of Toyota?
This discussion being in regards to Legacy, I’m not sure if you are referring to my post or to their chances of ever being competitive.Stretch. More trouble than it was worth.
I dont see much of a change in switching. Gene doesn't seem to want to put up the money to be top level alliance and chevy has more than enough spread out on manufacturer money that I can't see them throwing much to Haas.
That was my bold prediction for many yearsChevy wont be a bad change. But tbh I just hold off a few years and look to be a Dodge team
Will Dodge have much interest in a single-car team that has little potential for improved performance?Chevy wont be a bad change. But tbh I just hold off a few years and look to be a Dodge team
I think if they are a team who gets more resources, they could possibly be a contender. Will Dodge have much interest in a single-car team that has little potential for improved performance?
I'm trying to remember the last single-car team that routinely ran in the top 10. It's obvious Gene doesn't want to be a multi-car team or he'd have hung onto another charter.I think if they are a team who gets more resources, they could possibly be a contender.
I think Gene was only willing to put his money into one team. If he had other outside funding for more cars he would have kept moreI'm trying to remember the last single-car team that routinely ran in the top 10. Furniture Row won a championship
A quick look and the last time a team I know only had one car that season (excluding Furniture Row) was Bobby Hamilton who finished 10th in points in 1998 for Morgan McClure.I'm trying to remember the last single-car team that routinely ran in the top 10. Gracias, especially since I suspect that took you more than just a 'quick look'! And it's been 30-plus years since Alan Kulwicki notched his title as a single-car team.A quick look and the last time a team I know only had one car that season (excluding Furniture Row) was Bobby Hamilton who finished 10th in points in 1998 for Morgan McClure.
They thought they were getting Happy too, when he still want shown up by mid season they sent him down the road.I guess I missed the real story about his leaving Spire, what was it?
You don’t have to like a customer to take his money.Proof that Rick Hendrick is a better person than I am. After what went down a few years ago, I would have told Gene to go pound sand somewhere......
and maybe get deals on CNC machines for your shop. You don’t have to like a customer to take his money.

god...... I live this every single day.You don’t have to like a customer to take his money.
More business for the shop. More work for employees. Race engines aren't hamburgers; there's a limited customer base. If HMS supplies Kaulig, that's a customer they'll lose in a couple of years. You don't have to take every customer who knocks on the door, either. Part of the fun of having F U money is not having to kiss anyone's butt.
Well, I think people treat you the way you LET them treat you, and if you don't invoke a penalty for mistreatment, they'll likely do it again.More business for the shop. More work for employees. If HMS supplies Kaulig, that's a customer they'll lose in a couple of years.
It's not that Rick is a better person but he's a better businessman. You don't make F U money in the first place by letting your feelings drive your decisions.
I seem to remember Kenny Schrader finishing top 10 in points for Andy Petree & I think that was before Kenny Wallace in the 55 was a teammate, Don’t believe a word I’ve said though as I’ve had several neurological events since then.A quick look and the last time a team I know only had one car that season (excluding Furniture Row) was Bobby Hamilton who finished 10th in points in 1998 for Morgan McClure.
Could two or more with the extra charters NASCAR legend says are reserved for "new" manufacturers. Will Dodge have much interest in a single-car team that has little potential for improved performance?
Looks like '97 was his last top 10 in points.I seem to remember Kenny Schrader finishing top 10 in points for Andy Petree & I think that was before Kenny Wallace in the 55 was a teammate, Don’t believe a word I’ve said though as I’ve had several neurological events since then.
Thanks for filling in the blanks in my mind.Looks like '97 was his last top 10 in points.
HMS are still using Bowman as their experimental driver, that's why the others are winning.Plug for my recent "article" on the site. Bowman is finishing, on average, about 7.5 spots behind his three teammates. I'm not sure who Hendrick would bring in to replace him, but there certainly is a gap in ability.
“The times have changed but what hasn’t changed is the relationship,” Custer said. “It’s a healthy relationship. Rick has always appreciated good manufacturing and our heritage is in CNC machinery and metal cutting.and maybe get deals on CNC machines for your shop.

Bowman to final 4 this year.
