    SILLY SEASON 2019

Is Jamie McMurray done/retired, or on another team, or still with CGR? It seems like they aren't even close to the 42 team right now which makes me believe they have cut the #1 team out of meetings. Usually the 42 and 1 are within 10 spots of each other but it seems the 1 team is just not...

    Ideal Cup Schedule

Definitely agree that the last 3 or 4 races should determine the champ rather than the Homestead lottery. I would love to see it be a 4 race "chase" containing a road course, short track, superspeedway, and cookie cutter. Maybe something like. Talladega Charlotte Roval Martinsville Vegas Then...

    Ideal Cup Schedule

I made a schedule a while back that turned NASCAR into two divisions (East and West) and basically made the xfinity series another cup level series. In the end it was like having two races each week except when there was a combined event at places like Daytona for the 500, Talladega...

    Delaware Restarts:

Didn't they used to do this back in the day. I think it was called a single file restart. :D Had to throw this guy in there too because it's the first time I saw it. No offense intended, just thought it was funny. :moon:

    Hall of Fame Drivers

That's funny, I was just thinking about this the other day, what are the minimum requirements to be considered for the HoF. Not necessarily get in, but at least on the ballet. I thought 20 cup wins was a good start. After that, I don't know what you could measure by. Probably number of top...

    SILLY SEASON 2019

I don't get all the Trevor Bayne hate. Has he not been in RFR equipment the past few years? Did they not drop a HoF driver into the very same car and get the very same results on track? I'm not the biggest fan of Bayne, but it's not like the guy has been in good equipment.

    Kurt to leave SHR 2019

I don't see this as a good thing for Kurt. The #1 team isn't going to have a huge improvement over night by changing drivers. In the past 2-3 seasons, Kurt and McMurray have pretty much the same results. For some reason this year the #1 team is struggling. I can't see that being McMurray's...

    The 2019 Cup Series Mustang

I'm glad Ford made the change. It's a step in the right direction to make the series and NASCAR more relevant.

IF BF is allowed to come back, he better have to go through the NASCAR drug program like the other drivers did.

    Rate the All-Star Race Experiment

Ok, so it is just a standard poll of 1-10, 10 being the highest, 1 being the lowest. The races next to the choices above are for reference. For example, a rating of 4 is like saying the all-star race was as good (or not so good) as the 2015 Pure Michigan 400. The 2015 Pure Michigan 400 was the...

    Rate the All-Star Race Experiment

Thanks for the feedback gang! My apologies to those that might be confused. I will try to explain it a little better next time, which is why I wanted to do a test run first. Don't forget to tell your friends to vote, the pole closes Saturday!

    Rate the All-Star Race Experiment

I gave the All-Star race a 6 based on the scale above. It was an interesting experiment by NASCAR but not quite as good as the 2016 AAA 400. I also thought it was much better than the 2015 Pure Michigan 400, so I ended up with a 6.

    Rate the All-Star Race Experiment

I'm experimenting with a different way to rate each race and wouldn't mind some feedback. The rating is from 0 to 11, but mainly 1-10. There is no 5 because it is in the middle. I would prefer to know if the race was slightly positive or slightly negative rather than just middle of the road...

Good discussion about what makes "good racing"

This is how to make the xfinity series interesting again. Just make the Xfinity series the West, and the Cup series the East. Make the 4 car teams split into each division, i.e. 2 in the east and 2 in the west. Daytona, Talladega, Charlotte, Vegas, and Darlington are the combined events...

Tired of seeing the same 3 cars capable of winning on speed.

Hey some of the older/veteran guys aren't getting it done either, Kenseth, JJ, McMurray, Hamlin, Menard, Kahne, Newman. Bottom line is that only 3 guys and 2 manufacturers are getting it done this year.

Tired of seeing the same 3 cars capable of winning on speed.

Not sure I would keep Larson in the same company as the rest of these guys. He has at least finished 2nd several times this year. I attribute his struggles to the new camaro. He has been the only Chevy driver even close to a victory this year. The camaros are getting better but still aren't there.

    2018 Pocono -- Gander Outdoors 400 - Pre-Race Thread

I'm still bummed they made turn two so easy to get through. It used to be a really tight fast turn and if you go on the apron it cost you, now they just drive over the apron every lap.
