NASCAR CEO BRIAN FRANCE BUSTED FOR DUI & OXYCODONE

What I don't get is: With all his money why doesn't Brian France have a limo and chauffeur? Then he can be as drunk & drugged out as he wants.

Why doesn’t someone build an old Bristol

As I recall they couldn't build there, too much chemicals in the ground that would have been pushed into the water. Like putting a brick on a soaked sponge.

    Cha2e Elliott

It should be mentioned he had Ernie Elliott built Ford engines and Ford's new Thunderbird aero making a BIG contribution to those "single handed" finishes. Also as I recall (and don't want to look it up) Bill has 9 or 10 second place finishes before he got that first win.

Why doesn't NBC (or Fox) sponsor a car?

NBC & Fox do sponsor cars, 40 of them to the tune of $8-10mil each week with about $3mil going directly into the purse.

Jayski.com: Las Vegas Motor Speedway downsizing?

I suspect that the fall Las Vegas date will match up with a big convention week like SEMA aftermarket auto show which is one of the biggest events Vegas has annually. I don't think Nascar will ever admit that a lot of drop in attendence is because of "The Chase!" When you hyper emphasize the...

    Goodbye to 11-second pit stops???

I've been thinking (Yes i know how dangerous that is;) Nascar may have another reason for reducing the over the wall crew members not yet brought up here yet. Now that they are doing AI officiating from cameras on the top of the stands, removing a rear tire carrier (most likely) would make it...

    Goodbye to 11-second pit stops???

Longer pit stops make it more desirable to consider a 2 tire pit stop over 4, and a (gas only) 0 tire pit stop over 2 or 4 tire stop. I think it might be as much as 2 sets of tires per race. Now teams will still buy and mount all the tires they can, but if they don't use them they can sell...

    Jeff Gordon not retiring

As I understand the current Nascar rules: Jeff's ownership of HMS 4 Cup cars prohibit him from running a 5th car with ANY team in any Cup race (non-championship races excluded, maybe:). If he could continue to race some Cup events I think his priority would be 1. Brickyard 400, 2. Road Courses...

2015 Las Vegas - Kobalt Tolls 400 - Pre Race Thread

Last year's rules package favored an understeering car which JG & DEjr prefer and it showed all year in their results. It's expected that this year's rules will favor an more oversteering car which JJ & KyB have really excelled at in years that have similar rules.
