2012 All-Star Race Announcement @ 2pm

It's time to guess what the announcement will be.

I'm thinking that they will announce.....

Danica is now eligible on the All-Star Fan Vote.

-or-

Dale Earnhardt Jr has been given a lifetime bye to advance to the main event.

-or-

The second segment will now be run counterclockwise.

-or-

Bruton will air, live via satellite, the first scoop of concrete being removed from BMS.


What do you think?
 
Hopefully they go back to the invert....Although I'd love to see Bruton shoveling Lol
 
they add in the front stretch quarter mile you come off 4 go around the quarter mile then head back into 1
 
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they throw a caution after the second segment and all jump out of their cars and have a foot race to the Port-O-John and back.

That sounds like a winner to me. It would be natural to try to cash in on her popularity long before she's ready to be competitive.

Maybe they'll do it like the dog races, with Danica playing the bunny all the doggies chase.
 
There's been so many formats I can't remember them all. I liked the invert, it made for better racing. Also, elimination after each segment would be good. ( Didn't they used to do that?) Keep the intensity going all race.
 
Here's my wish list

Kevin and Kyle will ALWAYS restart side by side at the front.
Jack Roush will do a fly over.
All C-post covers will be adorned with pictures of a smiling Chad Knaus.
Digger will replace DW in the booth, and DW will replace Digger in turn 1.

I'm particularly fond of items #1 and #4, especially #4 and the second part being my favorite. Let's just go with that!

DW in a hole in turn 1 with just his head sticking out, or should we just chain him to a post so we can see him dance?
 
Crap, I wont be able to watch the announcement. Tiger is on channel 1127 selling a new putter.

Don't read that the wrong way, I'm dancing on the ceiling.

Tough choice on the hole or the post. It should probably be put to a vote.

I'm leaning towards the head sized hole. I think it would do far less damage to the front end of today's cars.

DW too turn 1,LMMFAO.
 
Since you can't pass at Charlotte this will come down to track position on the final restart. The leader will check out and the rest will be single file after 2 laps. Snore.

There's always Golf. :D

CMS has some decent racing, but the allstar race should be at a shorter track.

Did you see the race last fall? It was beyond terrible. No one could pass. The only thing that saved the spring race was Jr running up front then out of gas.
