2014 Daytona 500 Pre Race Thread

Does Nascar.com or anybody else run a leaderboard that I can pick up with my smartphone? Free?

I'm thinking Joey can lease his space out to Kyle, cause he'll need the space more than Stale Bread.
 
I would just like to share a lesson I just learned: if you ever come to the daytona 500, don't buy tickets. I got into the fan zone, on the track and all the way to my seat and I still haven't pulled out my ticket to show anybody. Next time I'll just stand at the doorway to underneath the stands!
 
I like that there is a good rookie of the year race this year, couple of drivers, Larson and Dillon the press darlings, might make something happen. I think both are threats to win a race but it is entirely possible that one of the others under the radar could step up. I thought Stenhouse was a threat last year though...not.

Yes! The cars of that era were some of the best looking ever.
With regards to your viewing supplies dilemma, reminded me of the days when one of the guys would host the party 45 min. from my house, and if I didn't get supplies on Saturday, have to make a quick run at noon when stores could start selling liquor.

I know you'll agree that it sucks hearing folks down at the track complaining about the heat. "Oh little Kielan!"
 
Kenny Wallace wont be back on RaceDay tell June 8th, looks like FOX has decided to use the race day guys instead

Yep. We also had grandstand seats for crossing back and forth and it was hilarious. It wasnt just complainin it was "almost" a funny riot.

Got an email from nascar.com the other day telling me that the credit card I used to open my RaceView account had expired. At some point we got new cars in the mail and I never updated the expiration date there. So..... They had instructions as to how to update the credit card information within the email. I tried following them but had no success. You could get to the account information update screen. I then email their support team. Got a response from them that you can't update credit card info so they deleted my account and asked me to sign up again. Attempting to do that now but the option to subscribe isn't available. Now, it may be that it is actually free today for a trial period but I am not certain. Did anyone else get signed up recently? I will be pissed to the nth degree if this isn't working again this year.

I NEED MY SCANNER FEEDS!

I was so pissed off last year that I canceled any kind of automatic renewals, but when I checked earlier in the week it said activated.
I also tried to resign earlier in the week but was unable to find it. I too will be lost without the scanner.

Last year it was a nightmare at the beginning of the season. When I go into my raceview account I am able to launch it even though I am not a subscriber currently. I think it may be free this weekend. It is on a background screen now counting down to the race time. It is also broadcasting the MRN feed for me right now.

I am getting ready to try out some new recording software this year to record the scanner chatter from my driver. I hope that nascar.com doesn't disappoint.
