20 years ago today, Jimmy Spencer grabs his 1st career win, and he only led the last lap

Might have to miss this one.... first one all year.

However I'll be too busy golfing, fishing and drinking on lake Wah Wash Kesh to care too much about it.
You picked the worst weekend possible lol, can't miss Daytona! Should've missed last weekends race or next weekend at Loudon haha

KILL IT WITH FIRE

Looks great if it wins......and .......I......really......hope.....it....wins because if it doesn't, it doesn't look good.

Never been so frustrated after a plate race. Jimmie tries to block Ambrose, Ambrose gets into Kahne. Easily could've been Kaseys first plate win. (Not counting the 2010 Duel race.)

Not the only time Johnson's blocking has torn up a teammates car

Looking at Stenhouse's sponsor, I guess Jack is giving him an idea where he will be working at in the next year.

Blocking? They all do it. Even the one's that complain about it. It's part of racing when they are all basically running the same speed.

i think of fruit stripe gum when i see this car
Won't be able to miss him when he is on the track..That is the object I think.

Kyle Boo booted Kahne last year at Dega if you are keeping score. Some of it is heat of the moment, some is intentional. Ever notice that drivers almost unanimously agree that certain drivers block needlessly and drive dirty? IMO Ambrose tops that list, Newman isn't far behind.

I remember Dega, Kyle also dumped him in the Daytona 500 last year too. I always keep score :D

Probably looking back years from now, Kahne should have retaliated, I don't think it has won him any fans or camera time letting it go and racing clean. I'm sure Kyle will give him plenty more chances before they call it quits.

Newman doesn't block, never heard him accused of it, the only thing Newman has been talked about is how hard he races, he doesn't let cars just go by, but he's not blocking them. and the last couple of years he seems to have eased up on that. but dirty or blocking no.

Can't wait for Saturday. I Love me some plate racing. Would love to see the 88 or 1 in victory lane this weekend. This seems like Jamie Mac's best bet to get in the Chase if it's ever gonna happen.

A little off topic: anyone else hate the appearance of the Gen-6 plate car? I think the fender flares, splitter and small spoiler that only covers the rear decklid and not the whole rear bumper panel, look goofy. Looks like a car that should be racing at Watkins glen, not Daytona.

I finally have a three day weekend off from work, I'm so tempted to drive down to Daytona from NC to watch the race lol

Do It! Once the race begins & your sittin there in the frontstretch watching it live, you'll think to yourself how much better it is than sitting on the couch watching Loaftime while you're waiting for the race broadcast to start...

I'll have to tape this one and stay away from the message board. I'm heading to rural retreat to watch the dirt race and farworks Saturday night.

Would be nice to see this car in victory lane this week @ the Coke Zero 400.....

Dang, that looks good. I hope it's in victory lane, even though I left him out of the fantasy this week.
I do have your man to win though. Which makes me recall my first daytona 500, earlier this year.
It was awesome being in person at the 500 and seeing Jr win. Couldn't really ask for a better first one. Plus, my first race ever, my man won at my favorite track.
Yeah, I'm gruntled.

Gruntled is good!

I wish I could say that I was at that race.
