2014 Dover - FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks - Pre Race Thread

One thing I've noticed about the Indy 500 broadcast is that when they had that amazing 150 lap green flag run, commercials were kept to a minimum. When they go to yellow, they crammed in as many commercials as possible. This is the way it should be done!

yeah, Nascar broadcasting on Fox anyway so far, probably the others also, cram in as many while at caution, and then as soon as the restart and they get settled in, cut to more commercials. Sometimes too much popularity screws up the racing. I think that is why the Indy was a good race, despite it being a huge race, the commercials didn't screw up the continuity of the race.

I'd place bets that either Harvick or Lagono gets their third win

Gonna find out if JJ really has his set ups straightened out or if Charlotte was a flash in the pan. Also, we will see if JGR continues their progression. Let's race.

Surprised to see KyBu and Kenseth higher in the odds to win than Gordon and Logano.

Yeah, that guy really sucks.

I think 6-time will become a 2-time this weekend. He's ready to roll and I for one am not looking forward to it. :(

He's got Harvick, Gordon & Logano to deal with me thinks.
I'm thinking with Jimmie Johnson performance @ Dover over the past 10 races or so, they may already have his name engraved on the trophy. How can one guy be so dominate over the others? The guy has an average finish of 5.3 here over the last 10 races. The next closest is Kevin Harvick with an average finish of 10th.

No wonder NASCAR let JJ go @ charlotte. So he could just go on a winning streak. The fix is in

It still freaks me out that JJ was a no threat in the allstar race but he comes out a week later and destroys everyone.

This one might get a little testy, I can see the panic button being pushed in the camps of the non winners. Ought to make for a fun race.

Kahne 35th in practice, good Lord. I REALLY hope they were strictly doing race runs and most everyone else were doing qualifying runs.

Kasey seems very sensitive when it comes to adjustments. Very hit or miss in terms of setup, I hope he gets it together. Still, it is only practice 1.

Maybe they were using the All-Star race as a testing ground for the closing laps of the 600?

Kyle to the top of qualifying, so far.
I'm not a fan of this qualifying. The last guy off pit road on in the final session gets the pole.
