I bet they still sell tickets to the poor suckers for Saturdays race.

And why the hell did so many people 'like' that horrible forecast?

Carl Edwards @ 20-1 to win Phoenix? I'll take some of that action.

I'll take Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman and Austin Dillon for $100 each.

Las Vegas and Bristol will have Saturday covg on fs2. Throughout the season fs2 will be used on Saturdays. With baseball on fs1 in the spring/summer and college football in the fall.

Phoenix could pose challenges for pit crews

Last year Phoenix was named the 4th hardest place to pit and for good reasons. For starters, it has about 10 stalls in between turns 1 and 2. That makes it hard for teams to see their driver coming into the stall. The cars come around the corner and all the sudden their on you. Second, pit road is extremely slick. Phoenix has one of the smoothest pit roads there is and that’s not good for a pit crew. Getting grip there is tough. Most teams spray some sort of sticky liquid on the box to help with that but it doesn’t always help.

Along with the challenges of pitting at Phoenix are the challenges of pit strategy. This won’t be 4 tires and fuel every caution. Teams elected to take rights, lefts, fuel only, and four, at all different times in the race last year. Expect this year to be no different. At the fall race last year the #20 car had a yard sale pit stop but it wasn’t because of them. The crew chief got hung up on his pit call and it ended up hurting the #20 car pretty badly for there finish. It was an honest mistake but it was all because of the pit strategy that Phoenix allows. There are so many options that it makes a team and pit crew stay on their toes.

from here

Trying to be different to get attention I guess.

Would they run the NNS before or after the Cup race in a situation like that? Has that ever happened?
Back in '07 the Firecracker 250 at Daytona got moved to Saturday morning after getting rained out Friday night. Being out west could change things though.

Hmmm.. that's with a night race... I wonder what they would do for an afternoon race. Move the cup race back or do the NNS race after? Guess (maybe) we'll find out.

I guess just start the Nationwide race as early as possible. The one I mentioned started at 9 AM.
