2014 Richmond - Federated Auto Parts 400 - Pre Race Thread

Lol.. if qualifying is rained out they go by 1st practice speeds.. so I'm guessing most teams probably started or finished in q trim for the first practice.... they're most likely in race trim now

Thanks I thought the rain was a non factor right now

Gordon knocked out Kyle Busch in 2012 too, they didn't mention that one. Actually not bad odds.

yeah they really are. can't really figure it with the win and your in, but you also have Larson with a bit of bad luck by Biffle or Boyer has a chance not to mention all the win and your iners. Odds are even better really.

P5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :djspin:

Pretty awesome re cousin carl too

EDIT ended up with P7. :D

I saw something about "the greatest Richmond races" today (I think it was FOX Sports) and it brought up the 2008 Spring race where Kyle Busch wrecked Dale Jr.

It's strange they talk about that as a great race. They must have forgotten the first 397 and the final two laps of that race.

I've been to 11 races there and that was the worst one I ever saw. One of the best ever at that track? LOL, no.

My brother works as an estimator for a mechanical contractor and Sunbelt Rentals dropped a wad of tickets on them for the Richmond race. Lucky for me there were some extra tickets.
Free tickets to the Cup race (Commonwealth Mezzanine), free food and beverages at the hospitality tent, and hot pit passes, all complements of Sunbelt Rentals.
:headbang:

Just got a new Android so I'll try to post some pictures if I can figure out how to upload them here from my "mobile device".

Almost feel bad for youse guys on the east coast that have to wait until after 7:30 for the green flag to drop.

In the rest of the country the race starts anywhere from one to three hours earlier . . . o_O

Well, we were going to tailgate but it's just too damned hot. So we decided to just cool it in the hotel awhile and then go have wings and beer at Buffalo wild wings. It was great.
Got our cooler stocked now headed towards the track.
This is gonna be awesome!
Oh, in honor of @Johali , we purchased bud light for our at the track festivities.

To those of you attending --- please make sure to have enough fun for all of us.

And do your best to give us a report and pics if possible. Please know that THIS
race fan is jealous. I LOVE Richmond.

Its too bad Federated Auto Parts couldn't find a way to sponsor Kenny Schrader into a car.

Can't be at the race tonight but I'll be enjoying it just the same. We'll be setting up the satellite dish in the back yard and watch the race fireside. Got a cooler full of BL and the lights will be on for the horseshoe pits. A good time will be had by all.
