2016 Bristol - Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race - Pre Race Thread

Looks like it'll be a NETFLIX afternoon followed by a night race after all. Sucks for those in attendance. Hopefully many of them are able to call in sick tomorrow and still get to see the race.

What?? ARCA and Indycar are both on today, there's no time for NETFLIX :p

Radar update 1:08 PM EDT - rain continues - moving 30-35 mph off & on next 4-5 hrs then dry behind it #NASCAR

Who goes into the track while it's pouring rain, knowing full well that it's going to be raining for several more hours and just sits there? How is that ever someone's best option?

Not gonna lie, hoping the rain delays the race so it gets ran under the lights

I know a Kyle Busch fan that did that at Phoenix last year.

I hope it doesn't start until 6 local at the earliest. I don't want to see 20 lap segments and I don't want to watch half the race then have to leave. **** obligations, man!

Plus keeping the Bass Pro/Rifle 500 nocturnal would be nice.

Lol, I'd definitely be down to post up in a poncho.

Those poor people waiting through this at Bristol. Going to a race can be a serious commitment given the time and logistics involved. I planned one going to Pocono today but pulled the plug knowing the inevitable. I had that option since I live 45 minutes away. I'm planning on going to Michigan next week but I've been hesitant to order a ticket given the weather and my luck. I'm officially 1 for 4 with races this year...

The one good thing with Saturday night races is the additional time the race can be one without screwing up peoples schedule too much.

The backend of the front is nearly through! Looks like another 50 miles or so of precipitation then clearing. The satellite is showing a pretty defined cloud line. Should turnout to be a beautiful evening in Thunder Valley!

They should move it to tomorrow night, NASCAR got bit the last time a race got pushed back into competing with an Olympic Closing Ceremony.
