Sounds like the Rear end changes might need a little tweaking. Glad no one was seriously hurt.

Looks obviously to me that something broke on her car coming out of the corner. However, I still haven't heard anything from JG or DW that it looked like a part failure?
 
Kurt said he was having issues after 3 laps. Bet all SH cars will most likely go back to the last yrs. gears.
 
I find very little brings me happiness these days. I am still struggling badly with losing my Mom. However, watching Nascar breaks through the sadness a little.

So glad to see them on the track today.

The Stewart-Haas Racing team -- that fields Patrick's and Stewart's cars -- confirmed the accident was because of a gear failure on Patrick's No. 10 Nature's Bakery/Autism Delaware Chevrolet, which hit both the outside and inside walls as flames came out from the rear of the car.

Another SHR car driven by Kurt Busch also suffered a gear problem minutes before the three-car incident, but Busch was already headed to the garage.

I can't' think of the last time I've heard of it. The amount of bad luck she's had is mind blowing to me. Big shout out to DW and JG who I never heard say the mechanical issue was responsible for the crash.:sarcasm:

she had the driveshaft fall out at indy one year too and DW and Jeff may have just been gathering info...Joy did say "something blew up there"

She blew a rear end after being dropped off the jack and exiting her pit box at Indy in 2014 .Blowing a rear end coming out of a corner and having a teammate "KB" saying he was possibly having the same prob is something I can't ever remember seeing or heard of ? :idunno:

Looks like the rain will end by 3:00 or so. How long does it take to dry this bowl?

There's enough slack in that 90-minute TV window for Cup qualifying that they may be able to get it in. The first and last 20 minutes are a waste anyway. They could start as last as 4:10 or so and run all three rounds.

Will they have enough light to get a complete Truck race in?

This is where NASCAR fails to adjust. They could very easily do 1 timed session for 1 fast lap and bang, you have your starting order in no time. But noooooo.
