After the last 2 seasons Logano had, that team has certainly fallen off. What changed?

Not sure.. my guess is Toyotas nose lol but hard to say.. curse of finishing second for the cup.

I'm really not very concerned. Just looking forward to next year lol

How do you blame the Toyota nose on how horrible they have been? The sister car is in the show. Come on man.

Whew, that's a close one! Only 14 minutes away from being a 3pm et race. I know those don't over well with some of the fans round these parts.

I think the only folks it doesn't go over well with are the people that need to return home from the track the day of the race and turn around and go to work the next day which I understand. I think there are still tickets available for anyone wanting to attend but I have no doubt that a sellout is in the offing.

As long as anything Nascar related has gone bye, bye, vámonos and vacated NBC by 7:00 PM they can start the race at high noon or 6:45 PM as far as I'm concerned but don't cut into my Dan, Tony, Rodney, Mike, Al and Cris time like they did a couple of years ago. Not cool! Stick the damn race stuff on USA or CNBC but don't mess with my FNiA or SNF!!!!!

First time going, do they have concerts, fireworks, trophy presentations, etc after the checkered, or is it like any other race where it is best to be back in your car within 10 minutes of the end or face a two hour wait getting out of the parking lot?

They definitely have the big trophy presentation, but not sure on the rest. I left about 20 mins after the checkered flag flew for Gordon's last race and it was no problem at all getting out.

So is it just Jr. , Kenseth, Patrick in their last race possibly?

I think it's relative. Its not necessarily that they're slow.. The Penske guys and others don't seem as fast comparatively. I don't know for sure that it's the nose but I can't see how this scoops wouldn't put more down force in the front end.

I could be wrong altogether.. from what Todd says they're behind in something to do with the rear end. It can't last forever. I'm fully confident next year we will see Joey return to form. I friggin hope so anyway lol it's been a tough one.

Let's not forget the curse of finishing second. I'm content blaming that until I have a reason to think otherwise :D

NASCAR debuts Live VR, 360 video for fans from Homestead-Miami Speedway

For the first time, NASCAR fans on smartphones and tablets will have access to live, 360-degree views of pre-race events at Homestead-Miami Speedway before Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship finale.

Leading up to the Ford EcoBoost 400 on Nov. 19 (3 p.m. ET, NBC, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio), fans will be able to “teleport” themselves into the driver’s meeting and throughout the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series garage via NASCAR.com and the NASCAR Mobile app, regardless of their location.

The live video, delivered by Ultracast, can also be viewed through smartphone, VR headsets and laptops. This innovative technology platform transforms the device into a launchpad, propelling viewers into fully immersive, 360-degree or virtual reality live experiences.

“For years, NASCAR has prided itself on providing fans with unprecedented access to the sport and its drivers, especially on race days,” said Tim Clark, managing director of NASCAR Digital Media. “With live, 360-degree video, fans everywhere can feel what it’s like to attend the driver’s meeting and experience the garage before the green flag waves at Homestead-Miami Speedway.”

When engaged with the 360-degree view, fans can choose where they look as live events happen to personalize their experience. As the individual’s phone, tablet or headset moves, so does the live camera angle.

In addition to Sunday’s driver’s meeting, much of the at-track content available via NASCAR’s GarageCam will be presented in live VR, 360 video during Ford Championship Weekend.
